Epic Euro ride, a country a day for almost two weeks. Will be going some speed too, not amateur riders!

Quite often I get the dispatch email after my order has arrived from Planet X so wouldn't worry, you might get them tomorrow!

Can't remember where I found the formula for tyre pressures, seen it around somewhere. Managed to google for it, seems to be quoted on a few websites.
I think the idea behind it is pressure too low and you run risk of pinch flats, pressure too high and the rolling resistance will actually increase. As said above it is better for the tyre to deform around defects in the road.
If you're pressure is lower than the formula says and you don't have problems then you are probably fine how you are. If higher then you may get a decrease in resistance by running a lower pressure, but lets the honest the difference is probably not that noticeable.
My tyres max psi is below what the formula says so I just run mine at 110PSI and haven't had any problems yet, I'm quite heavy at over 100kg to need as much pressure as I can get.

I'm probably going to hell for this, but on my way home I saw a guy in workman's clothing and boots riding a Pinarello Dogma with Cosmic Carbones and I think Speedplay pedals.
I remember the article about the police pulling over that guy riding an expensive bike in "non-cycling" clothing and I can totally see why. Someone riding a Pinarello in toe-cap boots looks dodgy as ****. I gave him a long hard stare and he looked back at me with a guilty look. Should I have said something? I did consider taking my camera phone out but it was in my bag and the lights changed.
