Thanks Hamster, I'll give it a go at those readings.
I havent' been using either heads for too long and im doing it across three different tanks which i've had less than a week!

Iclears will need new parts bought then and protanks I can do myself. I'll watch a vid on this one later, the thread that comes out of the metal tip bit look fairly short so will be intersting to see how to recoil these, I thought you'd need to keep buying the heating element on the protank.

I'll go find that video now. Until then time to vape, watch the new superman on my laptop and get to work on Scope's new label design!

If you mean the wick coming out of the protank is short, yes it is. You make it longer and just cut the ends off once you've rebuilt it.

Here's the SVD video:

If you are talking about the silica wick when you say thread you leave it long then trim it when it is all put back together. If you try any other way you'll end up with a mess of fibres.

The idea is to keep buying them but many of us rewick and coil them to save some money. If you don't fancy the faff then you can just buy them. They aren't designed to be user recoiled but it is easy.

After watching that video I got somewhat confused as my screen is upside down according to this video. I have two air holes instead of one and my + button it on the top instead of the bottom like all of his suggestions so I guess Innokin listened to him. My buttons also look a little bit different to his (more dome shaped). Fasttech copy?

I also followed the wattage he was using throughout that video which was 9/5/10 watts at one point on the iclear 30 which was okay, did that a few times and was okay but nothing special. I tried using it again after vaping a few times and then end up choking and getting almost no vapour and my tank is fairly warm as well as the battery holder.

Soon as I let the device cool down and started using it again it wasn't as rough. These inconsistencies are getting a bit annoying, I just want to taste my apple tart fully again :(

Not a fasttech copy. Their Innokin stuff is genuine. Pbusardo reviewed the SVD when it was first released. Innoking revised the SVD and put the buttons the other way round and made some minor changes.

Try washing out your iclear and giving it a dry burn. You'll see how much cleaner your wick and coil looks after doing it.

I'll give it a go, how often do you dry burn. There's lots of conflicting information on this when I was looking at it previously. some said 2/3 second pulses with 1 second gaps until the coil heats red. Other's say do it 3/4 times and then leave it overnight to dry....

Yeah this sounds just like a head that needs a clean/replacing. Over time the coil gunks up, and you might get a couple rinse and dry burns before the wick goes. Also, don't underestimate the fact that your taste buds will get used to the flavour and you won't taste it as strongly, which sucks.

Just until the coil goes red. You'll see the crap turn white, at which point you can just brush/rinse it off revealing the clean coil below

The only carto I have as a spare for vaping continously floods even when ive cleaned out out -_-. Guess its just to worse for ware!! OH NOES IM ALL OUTS OF VAPE GEAR TILL VAPE MAIL ARRIVES.

*CRIES* RING THE ALARMS*

Vapers tonge, most of my juices don't taste as good as I once thought they did. I've been chasing the vaping dragon for months and hundreds of pounds of spent. I've just accepted it now.

I brush my tongue with an electric tooth brush for ages especially when I smoked. I decided to quit smoking after cigarettes tasted disgusting to me and my gums were bleeding every time I brushed them!

Okay so here is what I have done in my emergancy.

I HAVE taken the aga apart put it back together recoiled it and put it back on the dingo with the THREAD that is still stuck on it.

How ever I have LIGHTLY screwed it in so that the thread does not get stuck again along with the AGA T2 and also so it doesnt damage the dingo 510 connector threads.

I can vape like this till my DID comes on monday and I can replace the 510 inside the dingo with the other one and put the DID on.

Atleast the stuck adaptor on the Aga t2 can screw in enough to connect with the electric contact on the dingo so I can still vape even if a little raised :P.

Rolled a twisted coil :P cant test for ohms cos the stuck 510 connector lol but no shorts it seems and stable vape...

GHETTO FIX.

Living life on the edge. Big gamble using a new twisted coil on a mech mod without knowing if there's any shorts or what the ohms are.

Twisted coil will half the ohms and i guess you'll know if theres a short when the battery gets red hot  Just don't keep hold of the power button when it's not firing and you feel the mod get hot. The problem is when there's a short, the battery gets hot extremely quick.

I wrapped the exact same kind of coil as I did the other day with same wraps it should be 1 to 1.2 Ohms and lowest .9 Ohms.

Ive been checking the batt to see if it is getting really hot to.

Keep in mind im only going to take a vape off this when I really need a hit for a few puffs.

So ill use it maybe 4 or 5x till monday just so I dont feel like I need something else.

:(

Sucks that I have to resort to this xD lol but atleast I got something managable to work with atm.

Well you live and learn. Always have backups. To be fair I broke a protank (was the backup) on holiday and forgot my wire for my aga T2. Was on fags again for 1/2 a morning until I got a mini nova and a iclear 30. Had to pay almost double what they cost in the UK (let alone fasttech)

I know this is kind of a one off but you might look into a small fuse for your mod. Something like the 2 cent or bug. I guess your mod likely has a hot spring but that only works to brake the current after the battery is pretty far gone.

Anyone got any juice recommendations that I can really crank the wattage up on the SVD without getting that burnt taste?

I'm finding it's not pruducing as much vape as I'd like before it starts tasting burnt.
