Event Horizon ending

I thought of them thinking they were safe

Have to agree, this is one of my all time favourite films, it really nails scifi horror in a great dark way

I also love Sam neills voice!

Have it on blu ray and might now watch tonight!

I keep hoping that the original cut of this film might become available, since they have found a VHS copy. It has always been one of my favourite films and whether the uncut and gory original could have added much I don't know, but I still would like to see it.

Surprised that people are still blown away by it.

Surely it was meant to be one of those throw-away horror films of the day...

Best bit for me is all the images of hell flood through into thingybobs mind. And funky **** by Prodigy on the end credits.

Right, see you guys in 1-2 years for the next thread on Event Horizon.

I didn't think it was brilliant at the time... and curious to watch it again now to see how it has aged. I just remember Sam going on about seeing what he could see and the yucky stuff in his eyes..

This is that thread - op is from 2012!

We need more sci-fi horror films. There's nothing like the loneliness of being caught in space with something evil.

if anyone asks me what is the best horror i have seen, i always say event horizon, i has never left my mind that fil, so disturbing, but great film
Likewise. Never thought about the ending as being poor; overall I find it to be on par with, if not scarier than Alien.

Saw this for the first time this weekend - after this thread prompted me to watch it!

Enjoyed it very much - will have to watch it again sometime as I didn't actually watch it all in one sitting :o

Have to agree on some of the dialogue between the characters was a bit simple at times - no detail provided!

It's certainly plenty gory so seeing an even more gory original cut would be interesting!

I had completely forgotten about this film, so I must pick up the Blu when I see it... any comments on the PQ please?....

I watched this with the missus at the cinema on release, and found it a genuinely scary film, so we though we would rent it for that Halloween and ask some people over... however it backfired, as second time around it seemed rather lame on the small screen, and everyone we invited mocked it, and us, for thinking it was both scary and a decent film... I must say we felt rather embarrassed afterwards... Anyway, I would like to see it again, as I don't think I've seen it since that Halloween night all those years ago.... plus, I can't remember the end at all.

The only film during which I have seen multiple people leave the cinema as they were too freaked out :D

Wherever that ship went, they need to make a movie to show us. Loved the film, totally underrated.

I watched this again recently and it's still quality IMO.

They're definitely not safe if you ask me.
The ship is possessed, and she never saw Weir with his bald head and cut up face as he appeared in the final confrontation with Miller, so it can't have been a hallucination.
