Bluetooth streaming

When you pair the device i'm sure it asks or there are some settings for phone and/or media on the HTC?

Check in the BT settings for the connection to the car on your phone.

It asks to use contacts/music and that was it. The connection is there on my phone "Stream music" or whatever it says, it is also detected by the car.. but as mentioned, quality is appalling.

The bluetooth fitted as standard on the new polos is terrible quality. It is possible to fit the proper bluetooth module found on the golf etc if you have one of the colour screened stereos. Theres more info on the bluetooth in your polo HERE (Uk polos forum)

In both my wifes DS3 and my XF the bluetooth streaming works fine but the drop in quality makes it unuseable for all but the most desperate times. Both cars do have the high spec systems in them thou not sure if thats why I can hear the difference and I do encode at a high bit rate.

Interesting, thanks for the link. I had a call earlier from the dealership and I mentioned this, he said he would look into it.

Don't see why they implemented something so rubbish... its fine for calls. USB flash drive in the glove box works well :)

Have it, have tested it and works fine but don't use it as I have a dedicated iPod which lives in the car and provides better functionality as described above.
