Logitech and their Astuonding Customer Service

Just kinda worried they will go bust or something from people taking the ****

People are going to get this kind of good service, or read about on forums like this, and I bet Logitech get loads of customers from this policy. They stand by their products and support their customers when something goes wrong. They treat supporting their customers as part of their business, not as an expense that needs to be cut down. Good word of mouth and repeat business is worth its weight in gold.

Meyer pans are the same. I had a faulire, sent them an email and some pictures, and new pans arrive at the door a couple of days later. I'm always going to look at their products first while they continue to make what I want and support their customers well when something goes wrong.

It's the exact opposite of when you read a story of a company having bad customer service, and decide to avoid them and go elsewhere, and I wish more companies gave such good levels of service.

The backlight on the control unit of my Z5500s died a little while ago - might drop them a line to see if they'd replace it ... would be nice to see what I'm doing with the remote when film watching in the dark!

How do you go about raising an RMA with logitech? I have a Harmony remote which has gone kaput and is still within 1 year (think they get 2 year anyway) warranty.

Go to their support website and choose the contact us option. You have to log in but then you should get a screen where you choose you product and write about the problem you have

(choose email option)

Hilariously, due to Logitechs fantastic customer support I was actually quite disappointed when they asked me to send back my broken keyboard, and I'd have to wait until they received it until they sent me out a new one. Still they turned it around in only a few days. Great service all round.

I have had 3 mice replaced by them. By the time they break they are normally discontinued so they up to the next model. However I can't help but notice that the quality of them is getting worse. The mice wheels rust from sweet so quickly now.

But customer service. Top notch.

I must have been unlucky. I tried to get a repair on my 2 year old MX518 but they insisted on proof of purchase which I didn't have. No joy for me.
I know it's entirely reasonable of them to ask for this, but nobody else seemed to have to.

Thanks,

I did that about 3-4 days ago and still not heard anything. Do they deal with it even if you did not buy from them?

You should have got an automated response pretty quickly saying they will reply within on business day or something - they were pretty quick to respond after that.

I bought my mouse from OCUK and it was just over a year old and they replaced it (G500) with a G500s - I made sure i filled in all the product serial no's etc

That's my K750 solar at work, just the print screen key missing, it works of course so until it stops working or the warranty expiration date approaches I'll just continue to use it. The key itself is nowhere to be seen, I think the cleaners must have wiped the keyboard even though my stuff is clean anyway and somehow snagged the key :/

It's times like that a 3D printer would be handy. Just print off a new button happy tapping. :D

I've purchased Logitech kit for about 17yrs now and will continue doing so well into the future. It does tend to be a bit pricey but their customer service is excellent.

I recently got in touch with them over sticky keys & a dying MX1000 on my BT Dinovo desktop. They were well out of warranty, still had my receipt and they were brilliant enough to give my a 50% discount code for their online store :) On top of that my 8 yr G5 gave up last year and they offered same discount back then but picked a G500 in a sale and let the voucher expire.

Very tempted to swap my creative 2.1 for something by logitech too.

When my G500 developed a fault, they required me to send it in first unfortunately, so although I got a replacement back, I had to go buy another mouse in the meantime (went for a Razer just to make a change).

My G500 replacement is on my desk at work so seeing some use out of it.

Got my first dead Z5500 replaced, new one still going strong, these speakers were not supposed to last long, I'm sure I've had this 8 years now.

Likewise. Bought them in 2005. Only had to replace the subwoofer fuse. Logitech everything for me. Still sporting some MX1000's. Including one that had the battery re-soldered. That too was from 2005.

Anyone know what to use to replace the rubber coating on the mice? some of my MX1000s have worn the matte coating off through to the shiny black plastic sides.

Matt decals?

I'd like to know this too. I've had my logitech G5 for six years now and it's still solid but the coating has worn away at parts. I can't bring myself to get a new mouse after all these years gaming with it but going to their customer services with a six year old product is taking the **** a bit :D
