Everton are a joke as per...
Buying average players from wigan, when they should be buying a good striker and a replacement for fellaini (not mccarthy) never worth 15 million.

should have tried for lukaku or hernandez... or both

He apparentely would prefer a move to United :/

not exactly a hard choice though :p , I hope woodward goes back into his previous role which hes actually very good at this transfer window has been disastrous and embarrassing gill would have done nearly all the business already

Gill would have done every deal before August 1st lol

Lukaku back on, ohhh I can't take this lol, very unusual transfer day for everton lol.

It's just Sky Sports News, they don't have a clue what's going on. Lukaku is coming to us.

I think you're right. As a spurs fan that makes me happy.

I expect £25m would have sealed it if Wenger wasn't running from club to club with £40m. RM have managed to get more money out of Aesenal for a player they wanted less than their first target of the season who was also being sold by RM. Madness

Maybe Wenger is on Football Manager ebay and drunk buying. Tomorrow he will wake up and take delivery of his new "buy it now" player

You agree because you both have something in common, you both hate arsenal :p

Could be worse I guess, we could spend £80m on players and still not manage one goal in open play ;)

It's a massive shame really, if there was any time that you'd be wanting him to stick around and make a mark, it's now when there's no clear main man and the other strikers are a bit naff.

Instead, sling him out on loan, frustrating!

True... Now would definitely be the time to see him out on the pitch and give him a chance to make his mark.

I was hoping that Rooney would come in (unsurprisingly), but without him I'd take Lukaku as the number one striker. At the very least I'd like to see him given a good solid chance for a dozen games or so. If he under performs, he can always go out on loan in January. He's young, and if he continues to improve then he could become a mainstay of the team for years to come.

I suppose that Eto'o wasn't a bad option for a year, given his history with Mourinho, that there was no transfer fee and that his wages aren't completely ridiculous. I still see him more as cover than as a starting striker though. He's a player whose game relied heavily on pace, and the human body being what it is, he's losing his most vital asset.
