I speed, I overtake, some people might not like that but I only ever dry to the conditions of the road. However, if I get pulled over for speeding the so be it, i'll hold my hands up and take the punishment. I didn't cry when I get my SP50 (also in Scotland) for doing 80mph on a pretty empty motorway, just paid the fine and took the points.
Personally, I'd drop speed limits on motorways and maybe some A roads but be much stricter on dangerous driving and speeding in built up areas etc
Sigh..
Speed doesn't kill. Inappropriate use of speed kills.
Get off your high horse

Yes I know I'm a child killer etc etc.
Yes I know I'm a child killer etc etc.Lot's of points threads cropping up at the mo...

tee hee, i do love this forum for speeding arguments
OP worry not mate you will most likely get 3 points and a fine;
however, anyone stating that doing 45 in 60 for day to day driving needs to go on a saga holiday, permanently.
If everyone shared these beliefs; imagine the motorways, they would be comedic, arterial ringroads would crawl, single carriageway country lanes a farce; I suspect such types might have attached a weight to the back of their cars to draw attention to their empowered struggle against the dangers of speed, furthermore painting said weight white as a symbol of hope and to encourage others to flock and embrace their low speed campaign? I hear tell there are vast areas of grass which have been ruined just so such religious extremists can go and meet/dog with like minded speed haters.
all hail roads after 9pm when horlicks has kicked in and the thought of missing the archers in the morning forces this minority into their dream memory matress to slip into the land of nod and dream about Elddis Buccaneer with the optional ‘Cardinal Mirage’ leather upholstery with ‘Assina’ accessories.

 Brilliant.
Brilliant.I think that's correct a fixed penalty notice is not a conviction and don't show up on CRB checks for instance. Don't they word it "Do you have any motoring offences, fixed penalty points or disqualifications (including pending convictions) in the last 5 years?". And I'd bet the insurance will have something in there about disclosure or such and expect you to tell them about anything that could be deemed as relevant.
All these noobs whinging about speed kills etc.
Iv crashed loads at speed and not died yet. Pffft.

But at the expense of killing 2 of one of the best japanese cars right?
True, they did their job though, I'm still alive.

SKN get a skateboard

Yeah, but let's be honest. What would we prefer, your life or the life of 2 Supras?
Edit: clearly yours, so we can keep bringing this up for years
