I think the above results show why another poll was needed. It was quite clear with the amount of people who said they'd changed their mind that it would be much closer this time around.

You couldn't be more wrong. We have a new poll because people asked for one. I don't care who wins it. I'm happy with my own choices, irrespective of what everyone else does. Please stop making incorrect assumptions about me and the reasons the poll exists.

Edit: And while I'm going for an Xbox One first, I've said on many occasions that I'll get a PS4 down the line when inFamous is released. I'm a fan of games primarily, not the systems they're on.

Is there a wrong horse? As long as you get enjoyment out of the console does it matter if it's the one that wins the "console war"? Hell, if console sales is all that matters, the Xbox 360 and PS3 suck as the Wii outsold them both.

I wanted another poll actually, as the older one was before all the recent changes. It makes a great deal of sense to make a final poll now we know pretty much everything.

I can personally count 6 friends who were PS4 boys until recently and have all now changed to Xbox One.

The only reason I think we'd need a new poll now is if something amazing happens, like MS introduce a Kinect-less bundle, PS4 gives a free game away (beyond DriveClub), or the Xbox One suddenly develops a 2nd graphics chip and becomes more powerful than the PS4.

Considering I'm getting slated for doing this poll though I think I'd let someone else do it, as it seems I'm only doing it so the Xbox gets more vote in a relatively meaningless poll requested by the forum members :rolleyes:

Having a poll doesn't change the results of previous polls in any way, if the same amount of people who made their Xbox/PS4 choices in poll one are still the same the results will be the same now. Just having another poll doesn't inherently change anything unless you are suggesting Davey is rigging the poll somehow? /shrug

It will be interesting to see if the changes MS have made and the much more open approach to working with gamers/customers they have had over the last few months has reassured/changed opinions. If it has then a new vote will highlight that which is of interest to gamers here. If the changes have had no effect then the results will be the same as previously so no problems either.

Perhaps you'd suggest we only ever have one election just in case people have the damned cheek to decide to change their minds or look to confirm their earlier choice despite changes.? ;)

Not entirely sure why you seem worried about who "wins" a poll or not. Having made a choice (for the time being) I can't see how it effects anything so I must be missing your point unless you see some value on being on the "winning side" of a vote on a forum?

I didn't say I was bothered about who wins the poll, it just seems as if we are going to keep having polls until the xbox 'wins' :).

Microsoft have had to make huge changes because they totally got the announcement and console wrong to start with.

Someone should get the pre order figures from the main online retailers and retailers and add them up.
