Atm, im going with my head and thats the PS4. Simply because better Spec, PSN+, price and its something completely fresh to me. No exclusives bother me atm on either platform so hopefully Sony's superior spec will have more potential further down the line.

On that note, Microsoft have to release a console without the camera?
They've gone on record several times to say that an Xbox One without Kinect will never happen, as they see it as integral to the system. Saying that, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Kinect-less SKU in 18 months or so, especially if Sony builds up a really healthy lead in that time.

I suppose I'm missing why you think having a poll is inherently a bad thing, it's not like it takes up any more space, time or effort than a "mega thread" or any other kind of post. If you don't like it or are not interested then you don't post I suppose much like any other thread. I don't think it's Davey worried about who "wins" polls, I suspect that may be a little closer to home. ;) :D

Sorry for the derail but I thought Davey was getting some unfair stick bless his cotton socks ;) (yes, yes, suck up etc :) )

I don't think having a poll is a bad thing, I just think it's pretty odd, having the third poll for the same thing, for what seems to me because on a very pro Microsoft and pro xbox forum the PlayStation 4 was winning the previous polls ;).

I don't care who wins, I pre ordered the PS4 when it was very first available for pre order and I'm happy to stick with it :), I just wish The Division was out for release.

Has anyone else heard about the PS4 bundle? Console, Camera, Killzone & two controllers and it's still cheaper than the xbox one & FIFA bundle (which includes the camera and one controller) :o.
No but sounds interesting for a day one bundle... Source?

Still undecided. Prefer the exclusives of the Xbox and the look of the controller but the PS4 is more powerful and Sony appear to have decided what they want to offer the customer from day one unlike MS who have treated us with complete contempt.

I'm going to wait for reviews and gamer feedback before purchasing one or the other but neither will be a day one purchase.

I have absolutely no doubt the PS4 will win this vote as well. My personal interest is how far MS have shrunk the gap. When the initial poll ended the ratio was something like 8:1 in favour of the PS4, and 4:1 by the end of the 2nd poll. I'm curious whether the inclusion of Fifa/Forza, along with the other changes have reduced the gap even further.

I just wish The Division was out for release.

Now you're talking some sense ;) The Division is comfortably my most anticipated game, I just wish it wasn't at least a year away.

I'm ancient enough to have old friends scattered around the country and "The Division" is booked as a thinly veiled excuse to get together on-line on a Thursday evening, drink beer, shoot **** and talk ********! :D

Mentioned in two separate places; one of which was the VideoGamer UK Podcast / website.

x1 PS4 console bundle.
x2 controllers
x1 KillZone
x1 Camera (or whatever it's called)

or

x1 xbox console bundle (which includes the camera)
x1 controller
x1 FIFA

& The PS4 bundle works out a few quick cheaper than the xbox day one edition thing.

That was a huge put off for me, so to speak, the arrogance of Microsoft and the way they took the gamers almost for granted.

Have you been on a different forum else for the last 6 months? :D

Overclockers is very pro Microsoft, has been for yonks, the xbox 360 is / was hugely popular on here.

I still think Microsoft's initial message was less about taking gamers for granted (or treating them with contempt), and so much more about having a message that they seemed to have no idea how to get across. I actually liked some of the things they've backtracked on, and I maintained from the start that if they'd been presented properly, instead of like an afterthought, the initial backlash would've been so much smaller.

Then, would it not be better to check the bigger picture and look at pre order numbers with retailers?

The Division looks fantastic and has a great premise, I'm still not convinced by WatchDogs, so I've only pre ordered FIFA so far, but I'm hugely disappointed that The Division won't be a launch release for either console.

I actually doubt I'll play my PS4 at launch much, I no doubt, will be busy with Uni and having a good time and playing GTA V and working.

Possibly, but I'm also interested in how the OcUK community is looking at it, not just the whole world. I do the majority of my online gaming with guys from here, so I'm always interested in what the community here thinks. That's the point of this place after all :)

Tummy I feel like you've just walked in for the first time in a year with out of date knowledge.

:D.

I think the only PR people that could have messed up the announcement more would have been the Liverpool PR department tbh.

The attitude of, if you want to play games offline buy a xbox 360 and the contempt and arrogance of Microsoft in their attitude towards gamers, making the assumption that all the xbox 360 owners would just jump ship, was staggering.

The only reason I think we'd need a new poll now is if something amazing happens, like MS introduce a Kinect-less bundle, PS4 gives a free game away (beyond DriveClub), or the Xbox One suddenly develops a 2nd graphics chip and becomes more powerful than the PS4.

Considering I'm getting slated for doing this poll though I think I'd let someone else do it, as it seems I'm only doing it so the Xbox gets more vote in a relatively meaningless poll requested by the forum members
Unfortunately Davey_Pitch youve made a rod for your own back there, especially considering youve changed polls when MS have either backtracked or published a release date. I cant see why its unreasonable to do the same when the main issue for people with the PS4 is the launch window games, supposedly at TGS theres more announced games coming, but I dont know if they are launch window or not...

I am joking about making another poll though. I think thats all that needs to be said for now, I know it will fall on deaf ears like my opinions have in the past...
When is TGS?
In two weeks time, which is why I told Davey_Pitch to wait til then, thats the last big games show...

ps3ud0
