********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

Well I'm waiting for pc, will play it on console at mate's etc but will buy it for pc.

While I agree with DAIR, I do think there are going to be a lot of people disappointed with the graphics.

I don't see why, really; after 7 years we're all aware of what the current gen is capable of, and it's still going to be a significant improvement over GTA4.

It'll be the people who have got themselves caught-up in the next-gen who aren't impressed with GTA5, but it's a case of managing expectations really.

Where's the best place to pre-order this in terms of getting it delivered on time?

You might be better off, if you have time, going to one of the midnight launches or popping to your local supermarket. Recently retailers have confirmed they can't post till the 16th and with patchy service from Her Majesty's Postal service there is chance it might not come on 17th.

The graphics look absolutely fine. As good as any in game next gen title I've seen I've seen to date.

Gosh I really want to play this but I personally cannot justify spoiling it with low settings on a decade old GPU.

My need to play games with cutting edge graphics outweighs the need to play it early.

Therefore, I'm going to wait patiently for PC release.

Have fun guys.

Have fun spending the first month optimizing the game. :)

Was going to wait and get this on PS4 but the hype is too great. Surprisingly, the price has gone down by a fiver to £35 since I last checked so went for it.

I still think this will not be the case, online retailers will not be able to fulfill all orders and despatch in one day and they are not going to risk a poor service because of this.

That's ridiculous. Why do their prices fluctuate? Can I cancel my order then reorder ?

It's not ridiculous at all, Amazon need to compete price wise with their competitors, so of course the prices will change before release as Amazon offer competitive prices, just like any other retailer should do.

Pre orders with Amazon automatically pay the cheapest price while you've had the item pre ordered & if the price reduces in the initial launch period after release you get a refund of the difference too.

If that is truly the case then I wont cancel the pre-order.

Amazon said:
Amazon.co.uk often offers items for sale before release. If an item hasn't been released yet you'll be able to see the expected release date on the item's Product Detail page.

You can place an order for one of these items in the same way as you'd order anything else. We won't charge your credit or debit card until we dispatch the order.

To find out the estimated delivery date, click the Your Account link in the top right-hand corner of any page, then click "Your Orders". On the next page you'll see a summary of your order with a dispatch estimate next to each item.

To learn more about how we estimate delivery dates, read the Estimated Delivery Dates information.

If you place an order that contains both pre-order and currently-available items, you won't receive the order until all the items are ready, unless you choose the "Dispatch as items become available" option in the order form. You'll need to pay a charge for each additional delivery, but we'll try to get the items to you in as few deliveries as possible. The Availability Guide gives more information on the different availabilities posted on the product detail page, including pre-orders.

For items with a future release date, the Amazon.co.uk price may change between the time of order and the date the item is dispatched. We don't charge you until we dispatch an item; therefore, when you pre-order selected books, CDs, videos, DVDs, pieces of software or video games, you'll be charged the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time the order was placed and the item's release date.

If the price is lowered on the release date and your order has already been dispatched, we'll automatically refund the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price. Pre-order Price Guarantee only applies to items displaying the Pre-order Price Guarantee offer on the product detail page. Terms and Conditions apply.

Pre-order Price Guarantee doesn't apply in the case of mispricing, described here.

Never understood the whole graphics over gameplay thing...

Most are hypocrites, as they will like some old games like and happily play them but modern games, they will bitch and bitch until you get bored of trying to explain that graphics are not the best thing about a game...

:p

I think GTA looks as good as it needs to be.

I agree.

Too many hypocrites when it comes to game play V graphics. I think there is a balance and I can't say that I've ever seen R* get it wrong.
