You keep saying this, yet the majority will agree that the PS3 Slim is extremely quiet and ran cool. Hell, even the original PS3s were far quieter than 360s at the time.

Nobody else seems concerned that the PS4 is going to burst into flames or cause deafness.

XB1 has certainly made some gains, but I also think there is a case of voter fatigue here. Some people probably just can't be bothered to keep doing the same poll over and over:p
 
I wouldn't mind a new topic for a poll. Something like how many are going to buy digital games only/buy hard copies only/a combination of both
....or just play ps+ games :p

I would think the vast majority of people will buy both, regardless of what they say in an actual poll. It wouldn't be a useful indicator of anything.
 
I think it will depend on the circumstances in terms of game buying, if i cant be bothered to wait and rely on the postman ill do it and if its the same price or less i may go for the digital copy. If its more expensive i'll get the disc copy which i believe it will be especially in supermarkets etc.. i dont see games being around £35 on the marketplace.
 
If you create the poll again in a few days I think you'll see the X1 perform even better, just because those in the minority (X1 fans) seem to care more about polls/voting. On that basis I don't think that the data here is at all meaningful anymore.

I will be interested to see what the official sales figures look like a little after launch though.

I think most people (well I am at least) are predicting the come the end on the launch window that the PS4 will have outsold the X1 somewhere in between 2:1 ad 1.5:1

Still can't see why anyone would go for the One over a cheaper, better console...

personal preference and opinion maybe....
 
For the comparison to be credible we'd need to have around the same number of votes seen within the first and second poll. Throwing this poll into the mix is pretty much pointless.

Look behind the percentages and you'll quickly see that the gains some of you speak of aren't so "significant" at all.

Xbox One votes:
Poll 1 67 votes. 990 voters
Poll 2 138 votes. 1036 voters
Poll 3 currently stands at 94 votes. 391 voters

The votes are currently down on what was achieved in the second poll.

All this poll shows is that it isn't as popular as the first two polls.
 
BF4's already hit £40 so I don't think prices will be that bad for the most part. Might be a little more expensive to start with but they'll normalise after a while.

As a Professional Trend Analysis Predictor Guy (true story) I have tinkered with your chart to provide a factual look into the future based on current trends and shifts. See Below:

Quite clearly shows a fourth poll would be the Playstation's undoing. Infact if trends continue for a 5th, 6th or even 7th poll, then it would be factual to say that nobody will buy a PS4 and every household will have at least 3 Xbox Ones.

Edit - Things get really interesting however when we take the "I will buy neither console" option into account, by the 6th or 7th poll. Every household will have neither console and 3 Xbox Ones. Also everyone will have made up their minds by the 4th poll.

Because people find the exclusives on the Xbox One more appealing? That's certainly my reason. Nothing in the PS4 exclusive lineup appeals (bar inFamous), while 4 of the Xbox One games are very appealing. Makes the decision rather simple doesn't it?

It's rather sad that you even have to explain this to people; apparently the idea of individuals having their own opinions and preferences is foreign to some.
