Anyone going to read my post regarding the reply from my MEP on todays vote on the Tobaco products directive?

Pretty important..... considering our love of vaping.

Ive already received 3 repies all supporting our cause and that they will all vote against.

You are pretty lucky. My local guy is all for the TPD and just sends out the same response. I really should have gone to see him and kicked up a fuss. The MEP took the time to read what I sent and replied in a good light.

I'm about to go check twitter to see if the 140 rule got passed or not.

There's little wrong with that kit as your basic starter/out-and-about, so I wouldn't take what's been said too much to heart. Of course there's a whole other world of mods out there that offer a bigger experience and more possibilities, but some people do forget that not everybody is looking for that, or wants to walk around wielding a truncheon-cum-fog machine. :D

And, again, these things are cheaper from China... but not everybody wants to wait over a month for delivery when you can have the goods almost immediately from a UK retailer, with the requisite markup.

Anyway, the Protank should connect OK to those batteries. Don't know about the size of the Protank Mini though so it may be a little unwieldy on such a small battery. Still, you never know until you try it!

+1 - not everyone can or wants to jump straight into the £100+ super mods and fiddly rebuildables. In fact, for just getting away from the stinkies, most are perfectly happy with an EGO-T type device and a CE4/5, maybe a ProTank for more reliable vaping...

The protank minis fit the Egos fine, but if you buy the full retail box version, you get the Ego/510 collar which adds a little more stability and looks sleeker and a couple of extra heads.

Recoiling yourself does eventually save money, but there's a considerable investment in time and effort (plus wick & wire) involved...

As a cheaper alternative the ProTank, Kanger make cheaper bottom coiled tanks; the MT3 and the Evod - both offer good performance for a fiver, but not quite good as the ProTank. Don't forget, the mini only has a 1.5ml capacity, the full sized version takes 2.5 (enough to last me most of the day, as a chain-vaper).
Happy Vaping

Thanks for these comments guys. I'm fairly new to vaping which is probably quite obvious :o it's good to hear the set is a good all rounder for someone just starting out.

I'll see how I get on with the ProTank mini. I'll maybe consider something a bit more substantial in a couple of months time. I have bought what I think is the full retail box from eBay so hopefully the collar will be included.

A full 1.6ml V3 Vision would usually last me all day providing it doesn't all leak out in my pocket.

Saying that, I thought I would try some Snake Oil. If it's as moreish as everyone says the 2.5ml tank may be a necessity

Want a new drip-tip for my Protank 2, but they are sooo expensive for what they are...anyone got any links to super cheap tips? The reason being, the stock tip is very loose and keeps falling out of the hole...

Only place you'll get super cheap ones is China. You are looking at 2-3 (more for steel) quid for anything in the UK. Every where sells them about the same price.

Thats the vortex... you spend a fortune on cheap knock offs, they don't perform like they should and then you realise you could have got the real thing for not much more.

Not much more lol. The clone is about 18 pounds with free delivery. The real ones are 134.99 with delivery charges and very hard to find.

Check fasttech - ok, you're in for a wait, but for sheer amount of choice and decent prices, it can't be beaten. I've picked up a white delrin stubby for 80p and a SS MFlux clone for £1.28! The genuine MFlux retail at $25...

Right... carto tank giving me a bit of gyp again.

So, what's everyone's recommendations for a rebuildable tank atomiser that won't break the bank (and works well with silica, as my adventures in SS mesh have been disastrous so far)?

Kayfun Lite and GUS Mech mod. :D
