There's little wrong with that kit as your basic starter/out-and-about, so I wouldn't take what's been said too much to heart. Of course there's a whole other world of mods out there that offer a bigger experience and more possibilities, but some people do forget that not everybody is looking for that, or wants to walk around wielding a truncheon-cum-fog machine.
And, again, these things are cheaper from China... but not everybody wants to wait over a month for delivery when you can have the goods almost immediately from a UK retailer, with the requisite markup.
Anyway, the Protank should connect OK to those batteries. Don't know about the size of the Protank Mini though so it may be a little unwieldy on such a small battery. Still, you never know until you try it!
it's good to hear the set is a good all rounder for someone just starting out.
