********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

I like slow driving in GTAIV. Stopping at lights, looking around, listening to the radio.

Gonna do a lot of that in V.

I'm also going to shoot people in the face and run over eveything I see etc but from time to time I just like to take it easy.

Funnily enough i dont really do this but my girlfriend does and we have a right good laugh as shes almost hitting people and getting really worried about police and stuff! Then i get to sit back and look at the details :)

Is that the actual map? If so it doesn't look that big.
Look at this pic:

Pretty much everything you can see there is half the map. That's how big it is.

I do that too, it's nice to just drive around sedately, explore the back roads, alleys and stuff, in GTA4 there was a lot of interesting little things you'd just never see if you didn't go looking.

I just hope in GTA5 they've got the traffic behaving properly on the highways. Nothing more annoying in San Andreas than getting up speed on the long stretches of coastal road, only to have a tractor erratically change lanes in front of you and cause a pile-up.

Or HGV's somehow keeping up and accelerating with your Elegy going full chat, pumping nitrous.

The city part of the map does look small to my eyes as well, especially when you consider a third of the city scape is the airport and the docks.

I initially thought that as well, and then noticed how small the 18 hole golf course is in relation to the rest of the city. That changed my opinion somewhat :)

Yeah that's the way I viewed it too, when you look at the number of roads it doesn't seem all that great, depends on the scale I suppose.

I wonder how many people will explode with rage if it doesn't meet with their expectations, I expect the internet will go into melt down.

Has anyone here pre-oredered from Amazon before? How are they on shipping early/late? Pre-oredered this from them with free 1st class post, hopefully it should get here on time.

GTA V is one of the qualifying "release day delivery" titles on Amazon:

"What is Release Day Delivery?
When you place a pre-order for an item offering Release Day Delivery and you select either First Class or One-Day Delivery (available for eligible postcodes only), Amazon.co.uk will dispatch your order prior to the release day, with the intention that it arrives with you on the actual release day."

For GTA V this applies to anyone who has preordered and not just Amazon Prime members.
