I initially thought that as well, and then noticed how small the 18 hole golf course is in relation to the rest of the city. That changed my opinion somewhat![]()
GTA V is one of the qualifying "release day delivery" titles on Amazon:
"What is Release Day Delivery?
When you place a pre-order for an item offering Release Day Delivery and you select either First Class or One-Day Delivery (available for eligible postcodes only), Amazon.co.uk will dispatch your order prior to the release day, with the intention that it arrives with you on the actual release day."
For GTA V this applies to anyone who has preordered and not just Amazon Prime members.
Have they confirmed it is 18 hole? The map is drawn showing 9 fairways so I assumed it was 9, though I appreciate it's just a representation and they may have confirmed it is 18. Either way, even if it is only 9 holes the golf course is tiny compared to the rest.
Having now seen the map, I wonder if one of the secret achievements is to drive every road. If so, I would be tempted to try and do it![]()
I just hope in GTA5 they've got the traffic behaving properly on the highways. Nothing more annoying in San Andreas than getting up speed on the long stretches of coastal road, only to have a tractor erratically change lanes in front of you and cause a pile-up.
I can tell you if you want.
The map looks smaller than what I expected to be honest. Also about 80% of it is countryside which I don't mind but I did like driving to San Fran in GTA: SA, looks like I won't be able to do it here.
Quite a lot I would think, it was a pretty cheap deal as I remember.
Thankfully I've got plenty of space so I'll be installing both disks. If the game arrives before lunchtime next Tuesday I'll be popping home for my lunch to install the game, so that I don't have to waste time when I get home. Sad maybe, but I don't care![]()
Is that to the golf course or the achievement? I assume the achievement and due to your response, I assume there is in which case I am going to try for it. Though if it doesn't mark on the map which roads you have and haven't driven I think it may be impossible.
The map isn't fake, they're taken from the official guide book as opposed to the one that comes with the game.
It would be nice if someone with an actual scanner or able to take non-terrible photos would upload one though. Why is it that whenever anything is leaked, it's always with a crap photo or video that looks like it was taken with the world's first camera phone?
Yeah thats kinda what I was expectingThe map looks smaller than what I expected to be honest. Also about 80% of it is countryside which I don't mind but I did like driving to San Fran in GTA: SA, looks like I won't be able to do it here.
On Monday I think I'll have one final blast around Liberty City just to get a feel for the controls again, and so I can appreciate the improvements they've made in GTA5. Will certainly be interesting to see how they compare.
So the shop near me will have the collector's edition of this, tempting...!
Go for it, if you are a fan and enjoy GTA then the price is nothing compared to how much entertainment your going to get from it.
