********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

Just think of it this way, £30-50 for a normal game, that lasts 8 hours.

or £100 for all the collector goodness that lasts a hundred hours and well beyond if you are really a fan and enjoy the game let alone the online element...geez my life is gonna be gone I need to set up a e-mail to let everyone know i'm okay every so often :p lmao.

Up to you, your money mate. everyone has their own opinions on how they spend it :p

I'll see if they have any collector's edition copies when I go down there, if they do then I'll get one. It's almost certainly a waste of money but it marks the end of this console generation and I love Rockstar so. :(

The GTA forums are going ape **** with the map lol

Loads of crying, bitching and moaning...even with the very good scale references they are being shown.

Also I notice there are 21 properties to buy, that seems like a fair few

I think people had expected a map like San Andreas but on the scale of Liberty City in GTA4. Which would have been amazing, but also completely insane and pure overkill really. Even as it is, I imagine most people will never explore all of it.

Imagine if it was this big...:eek::eek::eek:

With old LS for scale. :p

Crazy what some people make.

it's been said by R* that they can re-create the world... and that's probably a goal they will head towards.

Also that they are playing with some old content (LC,VC,London :p)

So all exciting.

I think people are saying the map looks small just because of how much countryside there is compared to the actual city. When you look at the whole picture though its huge and i love how much countryside there is. It makes a nice change as ill probably spend much more time in the countryside than the city. Spent all of GTA4 in a city pretty much so a change was needed and this looks awsome!

First thing ill do i think is steal a motorcross bike and for a blast in the country :D

Jesus, just looking that makes me feel anxious!

The problem is, you'd just end up fast-travelling everywhere because it'd take so long to get anywhere otherwise.

Also it'd probably take about a hundred years for them just to model it. :p

How can anyone be sure the scales are right on that map?

It looks iffy to me, I'd say the GTA4 map is a bit bigger than that.

lol, does look special though and they could just add super sonic jets, would take minutes :p:p

The way I see it is theyll remake all the previous GTA cities and stick them into GTA Online. GTA5 is the demo for GTAO :p

ps3ud0

yup, I'm almost sure if online is a hit (and it probly will be) they are going to focus on that a lot more and just add and add...lots to think about really.

The Los Angeles in Midnight Club: LA (which was also a RAGE game) always was good. Didn't take too long to get from place to place and that was a full scale city I think. Will be really happy if the city in GTAV is similar in both size and detail.
