*** iPhone 5S/5C - September 10th ***

So, instead of giving us an iPhone that is actually cheaper (by replacing the 4s), they are giving us an iPhone that is actually worse than the one that was supposed to be in its place (by replacing the aluminum bodied 5).

It has a couple of improvements, better battery and FaceTime camera. But yea, the case is arguably worse.

Weird how they are discontinuing the 5 and keeping the 4s as the free option.

Not sure I will upgrade from the 5, the finger print is cool but maybe a gimmick that will wear off over time ?

Can't disagree there, I'd much rather have a 5 than a 5C!

It's a bit of an odd angle, given the prices are so similar.

Yea 5c seems overpriced cant see why they made it instead of doing the old system of selling 5 and 5s, the difference between the two isn't big enough. It's not a budget phone at that price.

I need to change mine, still on £15 a month 1G (which has finished), but don't want to get into another 12 months until I find out how much it cost to get the 5S on contract.

Because if they did that no one would buy the 5C (and maybe 5S). There isn't enough of a difference to keep the iPhone 5 in the range unfortunately.

That's actually a really good point!

Assuming that it needs to be a fairly large button to house the scanner, then I'd rather have the extra screen size.

It's a nice addition, if it can be included without compromising the other parts of the device.

I think the gimmick will wear off but i don't think you will stop using it

About what I expected: an iPhone 5 with a speed bump and some small other features. I was going to go for a 32GB white but I think as they want more across the board compared to iP5 launch i'll stick with a 16GB.

I don't really get the 5C though, unless your budget is ultra-strict why wouldn't you just get the 5S? Needs to be a good £50-£100 cheaper IMO.

You can still use the normal unlocking method if you wear a glove etc.

I am not an iPhone user and love my HTC One but I can see Touch ID being a great feature. Other than that nothing new in the 5S (for me)
