*** iPhone 5S/5C - September 10th ***

I've read it all very closely and I still think you'd have to be an absolute sucker to upgrade from the IP5. I guess some people simply have to have the latest model even though no one gives a monkeys what phone you have.

I'll keep my IP5. The only temptation to get the S is so I can get 4G in London with Vodafone but it's still not enough to bother with an upgrade.
 
I had the iPhone 5 and sits not about whether I can afford one or not... I simply see it as a waste of money when there are better solutions for my personal usage.. Don't get me wrong I've had a 4/4s/5 but its just not for me.

P.s battery life is good I get a day usage out of it.. The battery is no better on the iPhone ;)

Agree entirely.

By the time I sell my IP5 on eBay and pay the fees I reckon it'll still cost about £300 to upgrade and I just don't see the point in handing over more money to Apple.

Roll on nexus 5 it will crap over most phones out there.

The i5 actually has a higher pixel density than the N4.

I've got a black 5 and its pretty nice, although with the fingerprint sensor the white looks pretty cool.
 
Originally it was Speed wasn't it? I think it's really just the default for the 'tock' part of their tick-tock cycle with the phone and it doesn't really matter what it means.
 
As an Android fanboy (I don't deny it) I am glad Apple aren't following Samsung in spewing forth all sorts of random garbage on the latest whim of consumers. Disappointed that there wasn't something to catch my eye though.

Asian market ahoy though, perhaps trying to sting Samsung in their home territory with this.

Because you're expressing rather ill-informed "opinions" that have been done to death already, de-railing the threads. OcUK never used to be particularly bad but it's posters doing exactly this that has brought this sub-forum down.

We are not here to discuss other phones, start your own thread if you want to do that. This thread is for people who are interested in today's release, not to hear about your nexus.
 
Tempted by the 5S yet I said I wouldn't upgrade from my 5!

Reason being is i'm coming into some money shortly so would mean I can go sim free/PAYG and clear off this contract. Be better long term rather than paying high contract prices and staying in that cycle.

My plan: Buy 5S, reduce contract tariff monthly to get it as low as possible and then pay off remaining year. Use Three PAYG sim. Out of the contract upgrade cycle then and ends up cheaper month to month

No surprises from all the leaks we have had recently either.

You get this all over the net regarding Apple etc though.. But you're right I apologise.

I do rather quite like the fact the new a7 chip has 64bit processing though that's something new :)
