ordered my kanthal for micro-coiling, also got a 1.5 and 2mm drill bit. Will use the method linked below as it looks very tidy. Will regular cotton from superdrug do? Unfortunately I can't find anything like this in the UK: http://www.seducejuice.com/cotton_wick.html

Yeah 100% cotton will do from any pharmacy. Boil the cotton if you want to get rid of the new cotton taste when you first wick it.
My vaping is becoming tasteless but still producing a big cloud. Does this mean the cartomiser is running out of life?
How frequent is it expected that one should be changing the spring, wick, and cartomiser?

It generally means the wick is knackered or the coil is gunked up. You can try rinsing it out and letting it dry (important) and give it another go, but the easier solution is to bin it and replace.
Other possibilities: You have been vaping the same flavour for ages and your tongue has decided it doesn't want to taste it anymore (vapers tongue!), in which case you need to use a different flavour for a while. Or you are running your coil a bit too hot and losing some flavour in the process. Generally only an issue with VV/VW mods running on the higher end of the scale, but some flavours do like cooler coils.

After reading a post here, may go for a pro tank 2 (will this fit on my ego-T starter kit battery, is it a 'generic' screw on size for the majority of components?), and some chocolate juice

Yep, if it fits a Protank 1, Evod, Vision CE4/5 etc etc clearomiser it'll fit
Should be perfectly fine on an Ego-T battery, it's generally known as a "510" connector which is a common screw thread for a lot of vaping kit.

Yeah, but you may want a plinth to make it look nicer and support it. Mini protank doesn't need it, but a full size protank will be a fair bit wider. It'll work fine, but won't look as nice.
