As the title really!

Just interested to see if any of the OcUK lot are in a band, either writing material or covers etc.

Any genre really!

Not in a proper bandfor a few years now unfortunately. I started playing covers with a mate at uni and we did a few gigs and weren't bad, but since graduating not much now. Last gig I played was last year in a conservative club (read: club full of racists) with uni friend.

I was when I was at college. Singer and sometime rhythm guitarist.

Never amounted to anything but it was a laugh.

Was in a band for a few years that broke up. There's a thread on here with some of the music in it; it was quite poor. We did get to play with one of my favourite bands ever in one of my favourite venues ever, so there is that I guess. Currently in a new one and might be joining another. Also run a record label. Keepin' active in the scene, s'what it's all about.

I used to be in a band (same name as my username). We split up many years ago now.

We were an average pop punk band but we toured the country for years, released an album (it's still on spotify and apps like that). It was great fun.

I was the drummer.

I was in a couple of cover bands at uni but nothing serious, played bass or rhythm guitar in different bands, had a laugh but never took it or ourselves seriously. Some of the guys that I played with have since started a wedding band that is very good, I would love to get a piece of that action, pays well and little to no practice as most people want the same set!

Was in a band for a couple of years a few years ago and we're just trying to start back up again. Miss playing music so much, literally just trying to get back into it and this what it sounding like so far...

I've been in many bands over the years, the most successful (which incidentally gave me my OcUK moniker :o) we ended up with a recording contract and even released an album!

Still playing these days in another band but nothing too serious, just a bit of fun with fairly regular gigs around the weekends, and recently played our first festival at Lakefest alongside the Levellers and Chas and Dave*!

What with jobs and mortgages I wouldn't be able to go off an tour for a couple of weeks at a time these days.

*in a different tent :p

In a Professional Cover Band been in it for the last 5 years, play around 70 shows a year.. Mainly rock/indie covers Kings of Leon/Killers/Stereophonics/Kasabian etc

Supported Tinchy Stryder :P got offered tours of the world playing for troops to raise moral and much more, big part of my life.

None of my friends play instruments, so I've never had a chance at a band. Anyone ever just started playing music with random locals? (lol)
