Find it hard to believe that Shopto actually despatched on Saturday like they claim otherwise someone would have had a copy through today. Why not just be honest and say they'll leave today? And before anyone goes "it's not released until tomorrow, stop whinging!" I'm not, merely observing!
Suit yourself. Like I said, it does no harm and in most cases can improve any install or performance issues. There's a reason the console does it automatically if it hasn't been shut down properly.

There's no paranoia at all, a couple of people have already said they're having errors when trying to install and all he's done is post a potential solution.
