i am having a bit of a rough time with my spheroid in the dingo these last few days, it just tastes really harsh and a little burnt its kind of killing the flavour. i bought the aw imro high drain batteries they were expensive but im having a grim time here, any ideas. its reading about 1.9 ohms on the vamo

As it is mechanical it will output what ever voltage that the coils resistance allows.

1.9 Volts is a high ohm coil but at the same time it should not taste burned.

Have you tried rolling a 1.2-1.5 ohm coil? It shouldn't cause any problems bud.

Also have you changed the filling etc ?

How does it vape on the Vamo? Need to work out if it is the power input or the coil that is the problem.

i try for 3- 4 wraps all close together and its been ok but these last few days its tasted harsh and ****e, ive changed the wool and the silica and coil a few times and its still just not right, i dont know where im going wrong

I don't know much about the spheroid. But in general you should not have coils close together. You want to spread them out, to give it as much coverage on the wick as possible.

Air hole placement of the coil is very important. Closer to the air hole equals more favour and further alway more throat hit.

how do i lower the ohms? im still such a noob at this

More wraps.

Pretty sure that thicker wire gives lower voltage with the same wraps he will use.

Where as if he puts more wraps on the current wire he uses it will giver higher resistance.

Essentially you need less wraps or thicker wire for lower resistance.

Dave & Craig - I've parcelled up what you've requested, hopefully I'll be up to a trip out tomorrow and get to the post office. Will let you both know if so...

Just spent the last hour fiddling with my Aga-T2 and Nautilus, seeing if I can improve: Apparently not - the Nauti has sprung a leak and is refusing to thread back together properly and the Aga is shorting/resistance jumpng all over the place :(

Ho hum, guess I'll stick to old faithful (Ego 1100 & ProTank) whilst I attempt to sleep in my own bed for a change. Going to be weird having someone next to me, hopefully she'll remember to share the duvet! :p

I am down to my last 2ml of Apple tart ive vaped 50mls in a week and a half lol.

50ml's in a week and a half

Damn you must be vaping constantly or your atty is burning through the juice :D

I go through around 30ml a week and I thought that was a lot. Still cheaper than cigs so I guess we can't complain. ;)

Whereabouts did you get that drip tip? Looking for something similar for my pipe mod :)

Was made by Wazz-1 if I remember right. They have ones like that on Fasttech.

You remembered right :)

Roalith it was a drip tip that Wazz-1 made. If he ever gets on UKV and makes them I'd gladly buy them. Also atm I'm trying to find a drip tip in this material (I have no idea what it is)

Haha, Im using a DID - With a 1.3ohm coil on a silica wick it sucks juice lol I get absoloute clouds of vapour.

Cobalt drills mate, just a harder steel alloy. The pretty colors are the result of heat treatment.

Would love to make some drip tip and mods, just have so little time at the moment, all my stuff is hand turned and very time consuming, no CNC.

Currently making a wooden stand for my own mods and bits, it will incorporate a voltage tester, an ohm meter and wire dispenser if i ever get round to finishing it!
Just got a lot going on, big change in my job, moving house (looking for somewhere with big garage or out buildings for a small workshop) and some personal issues, but ill get there in the end and then who knows!

50mls in a week!

50mls lasts me a month and a bit haha

Vamo V3 has arrived! Not sure about using fasttech again though tbh, woolly dispatch times, woolly tracking info, Tracking still hasn't updated as delivered.

My mate is waiting for his V3, He placed his order 6 days before mine, and his still hasn't turned up yet (he lives with me), Just waiting on batteries turning up from ebay tomorrow (Efest 18650)

Add a no res-res wire welder to it too and even a flexible mini propane can blow torch then you'll have a jack of all trades box :D
Sounds like a good project you've got going on there.

Yes hope it turns out how I envisage :D

Will post pic's when done.
