I have just read that euro gamer article.

Is that just for the pop in or does it also apply to the ground textures?
I have the opportunity to choose between the 360 and ps3, a tough decision because my friends have it on the 360 but I want the best visual experience...

I don't think the difference is great enough that you're really missing out if you have the 360 version, you won't have them side by side so probably wouldn't notice the issues anyway.
 
Got my CE this morning, but out on errands and can't play till later aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :p

Hope everyone else got their copy today.
 
Nice. I like it. Done a couple of missions already (early lunch, heh) and it feels way better than GTA 4. Bikes are certainly easier to control, cars are more responsive (not so jelly-like) and the 'bullet time' special that Franklin has is awesome - really helps you get about and evade/chase things down.

Looks good, it's brighter and nicer to look at, but I'm not blown away. It certainly does the trick though, the cutscenes look excellent and driving around does look great. The intro had loads of pop-up but the game itself doesn't appear to, at least I don't notice it.

The acting / story already is already better than GTA4. Much more cinematic.

Yay.
 
GAME wonder why they're not doing so well with their inability to keep you informed on what's happening, assuring they will start taking money early so they can send it out in time for release and then not giving you any indication whether they've sent it or not. I've not had any post yet and I haven't noticed anyone else getting any but then again I haven't been watching the street. If it's not here by 3 I'll be pretty annoyed.

It's 'out for delivery' according to Amazon, although I've not had a text message from the Amazon Prime people (usually get an estimate on time) but it's only just gone mid day, doesn't help I've been up since half seven :o.
 
How do you smoke a spliff in game? I've seen loads of people talking about it but haven't found a way to do it yet.
 
I'm really enjoying the game but I'm finding the controls a little clunky and the cars tend to spin quite often, hopefully this changes with car upgrades and leveling up the characters driving ability.

Very impressed with the PS3 version so far. Smooth as hell and with a very bright and colourful palette. Driving isn't weighted per vehicle but they remain very controllable so you will adjust really quick. The Feltzer Sports model is amazing and looks awesome.

So far I have just met Michael (as Franklin) as well as Chop! The city is very much alive in terms of things that are going around you. I have already witnessed a shoot out in the middle of the rich district which resulted in cop cars coming in to reinforce their fallen comrades. After the aftermath I walked up and robbed the dead bodies of their cash and weaps :)
 
Im just hoping that by tonight when i get home from work, my copy of GTA V is sat at home. Was tempted to go out and buy a copy but one, i couldnt be bothered and secondly it was too ****ing cold to be out at that time of the night:p. Hopefully shopto wont let me down, not that they have in the past.

Didnt bother taking a day off from work either, i dont see the point of doing so...its only a game lol:p.
