The Official Pro Evolution soccer 2014

As I commented a few posts up I have pre-ordered it. Cost me £23, it's going for £20 at one place but they will only deliver to billing address for first two purchases.

Ah I see, I missed that, thanks.

I'm hoping for a digital download.

Ah, not sure about will be on steam at some point though but maybe not as pre order.

Very cool it looks fantastic!, does anyone know if you get the boxed version, can u unlock through steam?

You can usually put steam games bought as retail box onto steam with the cd key, so i'm 99% confident that it will work. Just need to wait and see what the online platform will be, as in whether they will use steam as the sole client or have their own, if they have their own then its a bonus having the box version as you can sell it off when 2015 comes out.

No you cant.

That only applys to specific games, it is not the usual case.

Konami COULD implement Steamworks support but I do not see them doing so.

Would be great though if they added Workshop support and cloud saves.

My bad then, I've bought games that have slotted into steam as if you bought it from there.

Steam would be a nice platform, but not the end of the world if they choose there own client, which better be good if they do and not like the Origin junk by EA.

Anyways here is my view of the game so far(console version demo)

Cons

* Terrible graphics. I do feel for console fans. This game really stresses consoles.
* Replays are slow and terrible performance.
* First time I said this but the nets are not good. Its like shooting against a brick wall.
* Hate the free kicks path crap. Remove it please from the game completely

Pros

* Ball feels like it's own entity. More than fifa for that matter.
* Collisions are on par if not better than fifa as players react and fall differently in the correct way.
* Shots have a nice balance of weight and power
* Pace of the game is spot on.
* This game has potential to look amazing on pc.
* Ai is great even on regular level as the team AI make runs for you to get into space and so does the opponent AI.
* Animations are amazing. slightly more animations then fifa from my initial play.
* GK are great i.e. they save shots that they should do and they let in stunning shots that only superman can save
* The tactical side of the game is more in depth then ever(will test that out properly tonight).

My impressions are based on about 10 games i played using various different teams and opponents.

It's certainly getting good vibes over at the ea fifa forum from people who dont appear to be a fanboy of either game.

Yet to see how good and in-depth the 11vs11 will be, if it's like fifa pro clubs or instead the team play mode.Hopefully it's good and the mode is popular, even if it isn't like fifa pro clubs ,so they can build on the mode and give ea competition for pro clubs.

Also, hope the game is optimised well on the pc.

Good to hear Jon :) I'm surprised they didn't change the net behavior as I remember people gave feedback about it from when they played it at those games con.

Really looking forward to playing this. There are a few features missing in this new game, but I expect them to massively add features for next years version when it matures with new engine.

Early press releases suggest it will a pro club style mode but then again does sound like drops in team play.

Online
11 vs 11 will be available in PES 2014
A filtering system (ABCDE rank) will allow user to select the strength of the team they want to play against
Pass support will be divided into 3 levels to match competitors
A new anti-cheating system will spot quitting players more efficiently
