I think it's a wide problem in general, try again in a day or two is what I'm reading. Rockstar Social is also down but stats tracking is working as the website briefly shows game progress so it's pulling in PSN account info fine as I've not seen any options to enter RGSC details in game yet since online is not enabled for a couple weeks.

Basically they're getting hammered it seems.
 
Do others get some serious low fps moments when driving round the city on 360? Mine is proper slow/laggy sometimes.

Does this USB / External HDD trick cure this?
 
A thug on the street pushed me so I punched back, knocked him out, then the paramedics arrived...but didn't take him away and left the "dead" body there!

do it you only get 2 stars, hide down alley ways to get rid of stars

kill the guards, go to the back of the armored truck and shoot in the middle of where the doors join and itll pop open, unless you shoot the guard holding it, i got a payout of 7.5k

Objects pop in left right and centre as you're driving about, buildings windows/shadows constantly pop in as well, frame rate is poor and it doesn't even run at 720p, more like 640p or something.

Only way i can imagine people finding this game good looking is if they have literally no care in the world for consistent clean high fidelity visuals (ie: they've never actually played a game with good AA and no pop in).

Honestly im happy that you all think it looks great (i wish i did) but i don't share that view and neither do many other people judging by the amount of people all over the internet moaning about how poor the graphics are.

i cant help but feel your talking rubbish, theres no pop ins on mine whatsoever, and again it doesnt look terrible it looks bloody brilliant for the 360, im playing on a 37" Samsung LCD and i truely have to stop at times just to admire how good it looks, and this is somebody who has a big gaming/pc background!

Two ways:

1. Wait til the guards get into the vehicle, go around the back before it drives off and shoot at the double doors (middle) until they pop open revealing a silver box that falls out and pick it up!

or

2. Shoot the guard carrying the box before he gets back to the truck, pick it up, voila!

THEN GET THE HELL OUT AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

Yes, alleys and under bridges are my new best friends lol.

Will give it a go, 7.5k doesn't sound like much for robbing those things! but every little helps :p
 
It looks great. Period. PC section is up there ^^^ for the people who are moaning about the graphics.



Loving this game though. The shotgun silencer is huge lol

For people who have had this issue then yes installing disc 2 onto a decent/fast usb2 pen or external usb hdd has indeed solved this issue. (This is what I have read on many forums, not first hand experience as my slim doesn't even have a ROM :p)
Your ROM is possibly not firing on all cylinders and on its way out :eek: :p
