Had a look at a Polo 1.4 DSG today, quite like them. Yeti and Kia are off the list, too big.

Always..

But seeing the cars in the flesh is different that trawling the web. Kia's are a bit flimsy in the flesh, I suspect they are fine for a year or two but the test of time may tell a different story. Now I like the Yeti, but it's not for me and my aunt and uncle thinks it's too big (which it probably is)

Fit and finish on the Polo is really good and although small, drives like a bigger car. (current Polo is about the same size as a MKV Golf now, it's quite grown up) Fabia is still in the running as it has the newer engine paired to the DSG box. I suspect it will come down to discounts/haggling as most of these things do. Pretty much everything else has been crossed off the list.
