********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

If I am going to play this on the Ps3, do I need anything extra?
Why am I reading people installing the game? Does it not play just from the disc like games used to?

You don't need anything extra, make sure you have 8Gb free on your drive and it'll copy data (takes about fifteen minutes). Then it'll stream from both the hard drive and blu ray simultaneously. I've had no issues at all, so let the good times roll!

Anyone know when the property site on the in game Internet becomes available?
I have bought a property with Trevor but the site always says down for maintenance , does it unlock further into the story.

Cheers

Cheers, I'm borrowing a mates PS3 for the time being as my 360 died. Was not sure whether I needed a USB stick or something. Didn't want to start playing at midnight and for it not to work.
I'll just delete his stuff :D:p

Just picked this up today and I love it. The level of detail is great and the size of it is amazing. I was roaming around before whilst making my way to the mountains and saw a fork lift truck parked up. Got in it, shifted some pallets, then carried on along my merry way. Also, driving an artic is a laugh!

I can tell this weekend isn't going to be very productive al all.

Just started playing on Trevor's story, and my god, did I just realise exploring his "world" how truly massive this game is!

Trying to drive and shoot in this game turns me like this

$3.8m now :D What shall I buy? :p

 Nice! I've only got about £100k between the three of them :p

I just modded one of my favourite cars with all the good stuff and it seems I've lost it :p

I think I prefer the aim/shooting system of GTA 4 to this one, but I can deal with it. But having just a dot to aim with is way more difficult than an actual crosshair...

Go into settings then display and change it to complex rather than simple, its way better.

Hopefully my memory stick will arrive tomorrow. I don't really want to carry on with this whirring for too much longer. Game is good though, I'm at 38% now. I have no idea what that means in terms of missions as if it's anything like previous GTAs the missions only account for about 50% of overall percentage, which would mean I'm quite close to having finished that which would feel a bit short perhaps, I don't know.

Missions have been 10 times better than IV that's for sure. Not sure I've had a mission as fun as the weed farm mission in SA though.

^ if you haven't already desires. Sign up on rockstar social club. it will show you your progress through the main missions. side ones and random ones. it also shows you a map for all the little collectables so you can get close to them. though you still have to find them specifically.

Cheers bear killer. I am signed up but haven't bothered to look yet. Interesting that they give locations to the collectibles now. It used to be impossible, I remember printing off maps created by the community and crossing off each point when I'd collected them, I'm think specifically of pigeons here :p With this YouTube age though I don't suppose I'll be doing it quite the same!
