*** iPhone 5S/5C - September 10th ***

Ordered my 16gb Silver/Gray/Space rock online in 2 clicks on my phone. Simple.

Also queued in Leeds store hoping to pick up one, they had no gold and limited silver and no 16gb of any before the shop opened at 8am.

I left. I can wait a week :)
 
I played around with the phones in store before I bought mine. The iPhone 5c is gorgeous and feels reassuringly well built - it is exceptionally heavy.
The Gold 5S isn't as bad as I thought it would be either, it looks quite nice in the flesh but I still prefer Silver.

An estimated delivery date of 'October' does bring back some alarming memories of the 'available soon' fiasco of the original white iPhone. Supply of one or more components has clearly hit production hard this time around, or else the development schedule slipped quite badly.
 
I ordered last night - 16GB Silver 5S with the brown case (was tough choosing between that and beige).

I originally wanted grey/black but I think the white front suits iOS 7 better and have had black twice already.

Like everyone else, disappointed at the wait for delivery.

It weighs a few grams less than the iPhone 4/4S. The iPhone 5 feels too light imo.

I'm quite pleased with myself, for the first iPhone release ever, I've not gone and bought it on day one and gone with the mad panic. I'll go into Reading next week, if they don't have any, I'll happily wait longer. I think this is the first model I've not felt I've had to have. Don't get me wrong, I want it and will get it, just it hasn't made me get up early to preorder or get in a queue like the other models have
 
Anyone managed to get a gold one? Wasn't planning on it but it sure does look nice. Would appreciate some pics, thanks. Would have queued up but I'm on holiday in KL!

Nobody but Apple supply chain management are going to know that.

If they can crank them out fast enough, maybe it will be sooner. Also with the feedback coming in about disappointing sales of the 5C, perhaps with lots of stock available they will scale production on those models right back to further increase 5S building resources.
 
Reckon the 5c are all gone in Leeds trinity too?.. Might just get one until the 6 arrives if I can't get a 5s aim free fast :P..
