Baby Crushed to Death at Airport

There are no words for this, really. Except that she should absolutely be prosecuted and i'll not hear the usual "she's suffered enough" nonsense. Utterly horrendous. Can you even imagine it...

Mumsnet Daily Mail reader alert. Go do one idiot.

On Topic.

What a horrible accident to experience. I feel for eveyone involved. :(

I'm sorry but the mother deserves to go to jail for complete stupidity.

Any parent would tell their small children to get off the carousel recognising the immediate danger, to put a baby down on one? Good lord.

Well said.

It's not well said, its apologetic and enabling. I can honestly say i never made that level of mistake and i can safely say it's extraordinarily unlikely i ever will. Because i'm don't a brain dead idiot. You lot can "rolleyes" all you want but i swear a vast majority of you lot walk around asleep in life if you think this could happen to anyone

Do you have children?

Guess what, I left the stair gate open the other day as well, fancy calling social on me?

I guess you're perfect, a perfect ******* maybe.

Oooo... you neglecter you! ;) Whilst you are being reported, could someone please call the animal rights group as my daughter kicked one of our dogs in the face.

Very sad story and r.i.p the little baby.

People having a go at the mother is totally wrong. For those of us who are parents and have had baby carriers, sometimes it is always easier to put it down so that it can be picked up at waist level. Obviously the baggage conveyor looked off to her so you can't blame her for putting it down.

Not knowing the full story I cant comment further.

I don't understand, those things move slow so she must not have been paying attention for a bit ??

What confuses me more is if a baby is wizzing around on a carousel why all the people just stood and watched ???

Probably deserve social being called you if can't remember to do such a simple tiny thing that can kill your child. Honestly what the hell??

For me personally? I'm always thinking about possible outcomes to all situations. That's why in my 37 years not a single bad thing has happened to me or my loved ones because i'm able to protect myself and them from doing stupid things.

Hang on, I thought was a joke post, you were being serious?

haha, you're an idiot. :D

Ok ok I see, I'll stop feeding the trolls. Thought you were real for a second. You got me.

If I'm completely honest, could I see myself putting a carrier on a stationary belt for a second whilst i grabbed something? Yes. Especially when you're in a flustering airport situation with children. But, I would make sure the carrier was never out of my line of sight, so if it did start moving, I would just pick it off.

exactly to me it is neglect although I can understand why most people see the loss of the child as more than enough punishment for her actions

If it were your partner do you think you could forgive her?

How so? Those actions could have resulted in a similar outcome. It wouldn't be a positive outcome if I fell on a baby, certainly not.
Would you leave your baby on a stationery escalator ? on the conveyor belt in a shop?

Requoted so he can fully understand how much of an idiot he is. What I really think of self proclaimed perfectionists like the idiot I'm not allowed to say on the forum . Thankfully though in real life they turn out to be the most falable bunch of buffoons of all of humanity.

I bet your one of those scrotes that just walk into the road to cross without looking and expect cars to automatically stop for you

Yeh I have rights don't I? I have the right to walk where I want, car's have breaks, I don't.

Tragic event caused solely by the mother's stupidity. I do hope that the cause of the issue is remembered and publicised so we don't have a repeat.

Not trolling, if you think you can't effectively look after your own flesh and blood and think you can do something that could kill them then i question your suitability to having children at all
