Hi all, after selling my HD7950, Im looking to switch to Nvidia and have been eyeing up the GTX670s. Now the question is, do I go for the 2gb or 4gb version?
I game at 1440p so it makes sense going for the 4gb but after reading some reviews it doesnt seem to make much difference in my resolutions, well not as much as others have made it out.
In most scenarios, the reference 2gb version even out performs the Direct CUII 4GB?

Here is the SLI review in 3D Surround setup and again, 4GB VRAM doesnt make much difference?

Here's another sample where it shows minimal difference between 2gb and 4GB

Am I missing something or is there really not much difference between 2gb and 4gb at 1440p?
With my HD7950, playing skyrim with everything maxed out and visual/texture mods installed, I witnessed VRAM usage go up as far as 2.6GB but after turning down AA to 2x/4x, VRAM usage went down to 1.5GB?
The same thing with battlefield 3, turning down AA reduced VRAM usage by about 500MB.
I will more than likely go with a SLI setup and will last me till I finished university(4 years). So, is "You need more than 2GB VRAM" just a marketing tactic?
Sorry if this has been asked before but I just want some clarification.
