Healthy or Wealthy

While still advocating health over wealth, 30k is not much nowadays. It can be a serious struggle nowadays, particularly if you live in the SE. Bonus of health is that it usually allows to work harder to progress you career.

My career was so promising. I often fall into bouts of sadness thinking about what I could have been. My career ladder would have taken me to British Ambassador level. Now I'm stuck at home struggling :(

30k + move up north.

you are wealthy :D

As someone who is neither I'd definitely take Health over Wealth, being in constant pain really, really sucks. I had that when I trapped a nerve last year, the prescription painkillers barely touched the pain. Imagine feeling that all the time. I'd definitely become a heroin addict.

It's tempting, seriously though obesity obviously has negative health links but an obese person can live pain free, very fit, able to run a marathon and do everything they want to do.

Another person can be thin and in so much pain they can't move, being obese and unhealthy is just worse.

Having had chronic pain for 15 years(knee's which in the past few years has become ankles, hands, shoulders also) and migraines in early teens then since mid twenties.... I'd take health over money ANY day.

I was just thinking today, I LOVED sport as a kid, I still love sport, I'd give anything to be able to play everything I use to. I can't sit in a chair or lie in bed without pain any more let alone play tennis/badminton/football/basketball.....

A crapload of money, millions, I'd have a nicer house, would hire some people to help me, but ultimately I'd still not be able to do most of the things I really love doing. Don't get me wrong, more money WOULD improve my life, significantly, but not as much as being healthy.

As my wife is facing major heart surgery next week, I would take health every single time.
In the grand scheme of things, money means **** all.

I'm probably the first to say this so.. I'd go with wealth. Why ? because if I have wealth I could afford to have cosmetic surgery and hire a personal trainer and all the other good stuff to get healthy. Thus I would enjoy the wealth and health at the same time. Granted it would take longer to become healthy but sod it.

I take health over wealth, seen few early deaths in the family. They work hard, got the money but never really get to enjoy.

Wealth, because in most cases, wealth can buy health. In your example, for all we know the guy is obese. Wealth can cover a personal trainer ;)

Regardless of the extremes, health over all.

That's why we should never bitch about how much it costs to eat healthy, the cost of gym memberships etc. You can have fun with money sure, but it doesn't mean a thing if you're in the ground.
