********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

Anyone else having truoble linking their GTA to Social Club? I can't figure out how to do it without pausing and going to Facebook integration. That's where it asks me to sign into Social Club, but it never connects.

Think there are still issues with the Social Club, it's very intermittent for the iFruit app and uploading in-game screen shots.

Off topic (Psycho Sonny)
Agreed. So am I.

Ah, but I have. Lots. and it's extremely minute in some cases.

I think that's the thing though, you'll always get cheaper sets and even expensive sets from some manufacturers at the same price that are worlds apart.
To me it looked as if you were saying that all LCD's suffer bad ghosting (so buy plasma) when they don't. ;)

this guy is having some issues with a top end LCD

although it's to do with motion blur it's in the same ballpark as ghosting

I was watching Heat last night and there are so many things that GTA5 have been influenced by from that movie.

Tom Sizemore = Michael
Kevin Cage = Trevor

Robert De Nero's character even has a guy he goes to to plan out his heists, and he is also in a wheel chair.

i got more of an anthony soprano feel from michael..with his whole shrink thing...the way he goes crazy about his daughter and his whole attitude.

I definitely think there is a lot of Tony Soprano in Michael, both from the family issues, seeing a shrink to his personality. But like all the characters, it's a mix of a lot of different influences

I hope no-one says this post includes spoilers, given all 3 of these are on show in all the trailers :D

GTA games the cars around you have always been influenced by the car you're driving (they split into groups) in that mission in particular it seems to get stuck. I just had SUV's around.

It was annoying as there was simply no way for me to win the race. They all had modded racing cars and I had a 1960's throwback

yeah that race forces you to use muscle cars, the clue is that there is a muscle car parked on the main road every time you go near that stranger.

what i did was steal a banshee, then drive to him and park beside his car, then after chatting get into banshee and drive past said muscle car on the street towards the race.

i owned them all, even within the first lap i had built up a huge lead, the second lap was boring and i took it easy to cruise to a win.

I didn't even get a muscle car! Just some shed that did 0-60.....if I was lucky:mad: Next time I'll make sure I have a decent car before I speak to him.

I think you could win the first race in a golf buggy. :D The other cars were crashing all over the place with gentle nudges.

That is usually a characteristic of the panel, not the source.

Could be your screen.

if your using a cheap lcd, that's your problem, but even then i notice ghosting all the time on a mate's 60 inch LCD which cost a few bob, especially when liverpool are playing as their red top contrasts with the grass a lot and the ghosting is awful on it.

this is why i always buy plasma

I use a 27inch IPS panel so by no means is it a cheap panel. The responsiveness of it supposed to be one of the best. I don't know what the issue is though, I've tried it on my 32inch full HD TV and my other PC monitor and I notice the same thing.

The best example I can think of is to look at a lamp post or street light, swing the camera around and it'll ghost like crazy.

Just read a few pages back about choosing a better gunman for the first heist and that meaning you lost out on money because he crashes. I was sure I heard Franklin say he picked it up though?

Bit annoying that I got no money from the Merryweather one as well as I forgot to put my money in stocks as I just thought I would get a reasonable sum for doing the actual heist.
