I'm not disagreeing with any of that. There is inconsistency, rightly or wrongly.

All in my own personal opinion though.

You would expect if you heard someone on the street talking homophobic and racist stuff they not to be reprimanded in any way by authorities, free speech no?

But you would not expect to see a woman deepthroating a ***** on a bus stop.

If the trolls aren't being RTM'd then quite frankly nobody has the right to complain that nothing is being done about them. I'd also like to draw people's attention to the fact that people did RTM the two previous Islam related threads which lead to suspensions and closure.

Actually, no. If I heard someone spouting spouting homophobic or racist stuff in public which other people were getting distressed about, they'd be getting arrested.

Spoiler tags would be a decent solution, however I don't browse the GIF or Random Image thread at work due to the work filter blocking some host sites meaning I miss quite a few images... but not on my phone *evil laugh*

You want to talk about double standards? You can get an infraction or suspension for not fully starring out swearies, yet the store is advertising t-shirts with the 'F word' fully viewable. One thing I'm wondering, would you get a suspension if you linked to the OcUK shop page that contains the t-shirts in question?

if you are worry about getting the sack from work then dont open any untrusted threads. its very simple.

what if someone decide to post porn gifs for a laugh ( it does happens before) then you view the thread. your IT dept will love it
