********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

Can you mod your car to have bullet proof glass?, it seems a bit pointless otherwise, if they can just shoot you through the window, to mod your car to be indestructible.

Either it hasn't been done or my google skills need work but I couldn't find any info on the gaming sites about the stock exchange. Suprised me really, I would have thought they would test the theory about your actions effecting the price of stock. Going by the general consensus though random actions don't effect the LCN values only the assassination missions directly impact the prices on there. The rest of the tips comes from radio messages, random blue dot events etc.

Just got to the assassinations missions again so plan on leaving them as long as I can so hopefully I can buy $millions instead of a few hundred thousand worth of shares.

you can manipulate both the insurance company and legal company stocks. test it, buy 1 stock and then taxi everywere so you're not crashing and don't kill people, your 1 stock will drop in price. when it gets low, buy lots of stocks are go out driving crazy and watch the stock price rise again.

I used the taxi to do a few activities like yoga/parachuting etc. and the stock lowered a lot.

Edit: also, buy lots of stocks in ammunition in bawsaq for when online mode is released. Everyone buying guns/ammo is surely going to make their stocks rise quite a bit.

Tried it with bullhead, I made 0.02% from my 200k investment.

$200 for an hour's work....I'd get more from happy slapping pedestrians lol

I almost doubled my money using that method, but I left it to drop for quite a while. I went a did a lot of side missions and things, maybe different for different people because blowing airplanes up doesn't change fly us stock for me.

I left it dropped off for an hour, driving like a saint, hit nothing, went to do a triathlon too!

It dropped 0.01 percent, it was at like $184 per share.

I find that simply picking the LCN stock of the day with the highest percentage rises get the easiest returns. Circa $20k on $1m invested per day. Then as soon as you have made good profit, sell up and pick the newest strongest stock. Usually changing stock every 2-4 game days works well.

The game always seems to fore-warn of a crash or show stock slowing so you have time to sell.

It does take quite a bit of time to do it but is working well so far.

I'm just buying stocks from Cluckin Bell's rivals, then going and trashing the trucks at the depot, then selling my competitor stocks when they rise. Doesn't really bring in that much money at a time though.

Doubt the modelling/collision detection is fine enough for that, to be honest, but worth a try :)

I've been trying to jump out of trev's plane and land on a skyscraper roof and survive as I don't have a heli and want to explore up there :) Nearly got it.

I've also been very close to getting the fighter jet by simply landing trev's plane on the runway and legging it to the jet. He takes his damn time to open the canopy and I was blocked in by trucks when making my escape. Definitely possible I reckon.

Anyone know if you can repeat the stock market gains by replaying the assassination missions or will you not get the market spikes after replays?

You not got a blimp? :P

Need something that can cause 20% rise.

How many percent did blowing up the depot do to the rivals?

One more main mission to go, I got half way through it last night but had to leave for football so just turned it off.

About the last mission spoiler:

Although you get to choose option C (which I haven't seen the full outcome of yet, as I never finished the mission), I didn't like Franklin's apparent lack of care for Trevor or Michael, the fact he even was considering doing one of them in was a bit odd I found, particularly Michael, as he had helped him out so much.

Somehow I managed to get Franklin on -$36 and then when I hit the final mission and was supposed to get a windfall he was still stuck on -$36, the bank transactions show a ton of credit but Franklin is still poor, just returned a wallet and now he is $14 up but his bank account shows quite a bit more.

I broke GTA5 sorry guys.

Until someone provides proof (with graphs) i highly doubt you actions within the game can increase or decrease share prices.

I welcome any of you to prove me wrong by posting graph pics.

The graphs don't mean a thing, write down the prices and then see for yourself.

I have only made money from 1 tip from Lester and my own "buy it at its very lowest and wait it out theory."

What do you mean they don't mean a thing? The graphs will show an increase or decrease post your direct actions.

I'm also referring to random actions. Not the actions carried out during Lester's missions.
