Capital One Cup - Second Round 24/25 September *** Spoilers ***

This is where this decision and the Arsenal one were wrong and they should be employing the 'advantage' situation more like how it is in rugby.

Maybe they shouldn't let the play go on for quite as long, however there needs to be a bit of common sense applied as, for me, that should have been a penalty.

Maybe the ref felt that the lad should have tied his shorts up properly :)

I still to this day ensure my shorts are properly tied to deal with the embarrassing "shorts down by ankle tug" that most lads who play footie would have had done to them at least once during training.

----------Mignolet----------
Kelly - Toure - Sahko - Enrique
---- Hendo-----Gerrard----
----Sterling-Alberto--Moses--
-----------Suarez---------

Lucas & Sturridge both need resting (in an ideal world Stevie would also be rested, but he is bound to start against Man U). Moses needs games, I think Toure and Sahko and ready to go as a partnership

Mignolet

Kelly--Sakho--Toure--Enrique

Hendo--Allen

Ibe--Alberto--Sterling/Aspas

Suarez

I'd like to see how Joe Allen has come on. There's not point having him sat around doing nothing. Ultimately it would be great to beat Utd again, but this is only the Carling Cup. We can take a few selection risks. Given how weak our backup is in central midfield, we need to see how Hendo and Allen get on, in preparation for Gerrard and/or Lucas getting injured.

Also, I love Jordan Ibe - from what I've seen so far he's got more to his game than Sterling. Much more direct.

Edit: Is Ilori fit? Forgot we'd signed him!

i'd expect a starting 11 of:

Viviano/Flappy

Corporal Jenkinson, Vermaelen, BFG, Nacho

Flamini, Arteta, Eisfeld

Gnabry Ryo

Big game Bendtner

I'm interested in seeing how Eisfeld, Gnabry and Ryo do. I've really seen that much of them. That line up should also give us a solid foundation too

Either way it will be an interesting game tonight with that lineup, guess Ozil needs a bit of a rest seeing as we have Swansea coming up this weekend. Giroud is being rested as well, so lets hope Bender comes good today.

Hopefully a nice win tonight to keep our away run intact.

Yes it mostly picks itself. Depressingly, Bendtner is our 2nd highest scorer at the club despite not playing in an Arsenal shirt for time immemorial... he will be rusty though so I'm a bit worried about goals.

Also, sorry...

Feudal Japan is in, apparently.

Was it ever out?

I'll be interested in seeing how Bendtner does though. He's never been a bad player, per se, he's just nowhere near as good as he thinks. If he actually knuckled down he could be half decent.

Are there highlights on anywhere tonight? Will be watching the Liverpool game, but wouldn't mind seeing a couple of others as well.

Really thought it was Henry and the Ian Wright or Bergkamp??. Interesting if true though, he never struck me as a good goalscorer.

Anyhow hope he scores a few tonight or at least one lol, just a shame Ozil isnt there to feed him some passes.

LOL@ the pic, oh dear Danish Samurai:p
