Liverpool team:
-----------Mignolet
Toure--Skrtel--Sakho--Enrique
-------Gerrard--Lucas
Henderson--Suarez---Moses
-----------Sturridge

I expected us to play a fairly strong team but wasn't expecting both Gerrard & Lucas to play or Sturridge.

MUFC: De Gea, Rafael, Evans, Smalling, Buttner, Nani, Jones, Giggs, Kagawa, Rooney, Hernandez

Subs: Amos, Fabio, Anderson, Carrick, Zaha, Januzaj, Welbeck

Yeah, we're going to lose, well done Moyes, **** line up.

Has he just gone and put Jones in midfield? That's it. Sack him.

It's not as criminal as Fergies favourite one of sticking Giggs in CM, which we've lost every game I can remember that he's started from the beginning in the middle.

Woeful every time. At least Jones has some work rate despite not being able to pass.

Jones and Giggs in central midfield? Well at least Kagawa is playing...

Has Zaha been injured? Almost forgot he was at Man U.

Just to make it clear, I'd be ****ing on Fergie as much for that line up. If we'd stuck an actual CM on then it'd be OK.

But there isn't a worse pairing of our players that are capable of playing in the middle than those two.

Play Kagawa/Nani, give them a platform of lemons to continue to play Valencia/Young. Woooo...

Gerrard and Lucas will run all over Giggs and Jones so we're going to need some 'magic' from our forward players, as usual.

Is he ******* joking?

Is the plan to reduce Kagawa's value to zero by only playing him in ****, stupid lineups?

I said I'd stand by Moyes unless he stuck Jones in midfield. Well god damnit he's gone and done it. **** you Moyes.

It'd make more sense to play Ando/Clev, considering their lack of minutes lately too.

Nevermind, time to settle down and see what happens.

I'd rather we'd rested those three tbh.

Aside from Jones and Giggs in midfield, that Utd line up looks reasonably good to me...not sure why you're all getting so bent out of shape. A front four of Rooney, Kagawa, Nani, and Hernandez is what you've all been crying out for!

So what is the point of this. I really struggle to see how you can assess a players worth when they are stuck in a lineup that is about as logical as a chocolate teapot. Good to see that he is taking Fergies midfield madness to its logical conclusion though.

This is where this decision and the Arsenal one were wrong and they should be employing the 'advantage' situation more like how it is in rugby.

Maybe they shouldn't let the play go on for quite as long, however there needs to be a bit of common sense applied as, for me, that should have been a penalty.

I'm not so sure, the arsenal decision was wrong because no advantage was played at all and subsequently having failed to play advantage the correct punishment to Sanga was not delt delt out.

However in this case assuming the ref saw the foul and in the extremely short time available decided to play advantage which I highly doubt, a shot on goal was attempted, that was the advantage. The fact that a goal wasn't scored or the target hit is not a reason to pull play back for a penalty. Though what should have happened in that situation was play stopped immediately and a penalty awarded (even though there wasn't time to humanly do so between the foul and the shot) as arguably shorts around the ankles negated any meaningful advantage :o
