The lowest 780 in the firestrike leaderboard scored 8100 or something. Can't say I'm that impressed. Prices look good but that's about it.

Well, the 7970GE has a throughput of 4.32 TFLOPS, so slightly above 5.0 TFLOPS would not be such a dramatic improvement (~20%). Let's hope that the architectural efficiency has improved as well.
