Steam reveal

O+O would indicate some kind of partnership to me.

I live to be proven wrong, but the normal Valve game release MO hasn't been followed unless you count the L4D3/Source2 screenshot from the Valve tour a couple of months back. That didn't generate much of a faff though.
 
It won't generate any faff, because unless valve announce it, no one cares. They're developing ricochet 2 and L4D3 for sure with source 2, but they're being quiet.

It's highly likely to be this nvidia thing, but I really hope it's like an orange box 2 to ship with the new console, as a launch title.
 
Its really not going to be a game, that just doesn't fit with this series of announcements. You'll just have to keep waiting for Left4LifeTeamPortal3.
 
Weren't they making a "Steam box" ?

I honestly can't see this getting any serious attention. People want convenience at most - installing another OS on your desktop PC just for games just takes that away.

This is for the living room, it's not a replacement for a desktop PC or OS.

I really wouldn't mind playing HL3 exclusively on Steam, I'm well excited at the prospect of having a dedicated Linux gaming machine with a piddly SSD Windows 7 install for BF4.

The rest of Windows can go suck a bag of ****s.
 
It's cool, novel design and will hopefully lead to some even better 3rd party designs but all this SteamOS/box/pad stuff means sweet FA without any decent content.
