********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

Just finished the main story, brilliant, no other GTA has held me like this, the characters are brilliant and fully fleshed out.

Saying that sitting here watching the credits roll, with the cinematics of the map in the background, it makes you realise just the scale and details they managed here, and how little of the place I have actually seen!

Besides the main story, the shooting and driving, there are so many mini games in the game could and would have been full blown games a few years back.

The Golf
Tennis
The off road racing
The flying engine

£40 really is good value.
 
I paid £44 I think, not even bothered, they earned it and I havn't even really started with all the other little things, never mind the multiplayer!

Credits STILL rolling lol.
 
Well I haven't had a game draw me in this much since BF2. :eek:

The pace is perfection & the options are sublime, Things like taking a taxi so I can make a smoke & a cuppa T, The way you can just veer off & do your own thing. Hours of my life just drift by whilst I happily live around the pace of GTA5. :p
 
Funny thing is I am really only playing BF3 before this, no other games...I kept mashing the Select button trying to "mark" the guys shooting at me.

Also, took me ages to learn they put the drivers side the wrong way round..ha.
 
On a side note ive found that landing in water from height will kill you, in some games it can be done but not in gta 5

Just tried the cheats and fight the police.

It's not fun when you are invincible, i am not sure why I was taking cover lol

The hardest part was evading them more than anything, they just keep piling on and can't drive 20 yards without getting rammed from all directions and those helicopters are damn annoying, 3 of them in the sky, even after you blow them away they come back really fast.

Now that's out of the system, back to normal.
 
Yeah this game has been my best storyline in a game. If games will be like this in the next year or so, it's going to be one awesome year, I doubt it though :(

this. the story has captivated me so much i felt really immersed in it this time around

I've just been doing pretty much the same as you just now, miss having the cheats stored in the phone like in GTA 4.
The constant supply of police helicopters is annoying and unrealistic but I like the aim slo-mo.
 
Anyone done the hunting with Trevor yet? Near the first hunting place there's a drugs deal gone wrong and a case with $25k :O
 
Be careful with that drug deal :p I took the case and then hopped onto my super slow motorbike. Five minutes later I was being hunted down by two cars and in seconds full of lead :(
 
I just take the case and drive up the hill, they don't follow. :p

The most bad-ass enemy in the game are The Lost MC.

They always send the most backup (apart from never ending police) and always seem to have sub MG's or bigger and are deadly accurate even more so than police.

That little event outside the los customs you can purchase is hard without armour or cover.
 
Anyone able to advise me on where my best chances of picking up a copy today would be? Tried the local sainsburys, asda and Morrisons and all were out of stock.

Hah it was unexpected at first as I had nicked one of the trucks at the top of the hill where something obviously went down and 2 of the tyres were busted so I shot out the other 2 and began lolling around on rims when suddenly the gang appeared and started shooting me silly. Of course there's only so far you can go on rims so I reloaded the game and did the same bit with a better vehicle and jumped the cliff bit over to the side and waited for them to take the long way round.

As they approached I was ready with an equaliser, a grenade Launcher :D

I am a bit stuck now though maybe someone can help, I've done the submarine mission and driven it to the bit requested and am now laying low? I did that the other day and thought I'd continue another day with the main mission but I can't find where the main mission continues from here with either character...

thats generally what happens when you hit water at 100mph :p :D

i get what you mean though. most games, you wouldn't have a scratch on you.
