Non traditional board games

New episode of Tabletop went up on YouTube last night - Shadows Over Camelot

Going to give it a watch tonight - and off to a friend's house tomorrow night for some gaming :)

Last time we played Enigma - some interesting riddles in there!

I don't know if this has been mentioned (too lazy to look at the previous pages).. But

Cards against humanity is available in the jungle for £20

Maaaaaaaan.

Can't remember how much I paid for the US edition a few months ago, but it was more than £20 I can tell you that! :(

Good to see that the US expansions are now down in price as well. I reckon I'll just grab those rather than buy the whole base set again just for the extra UK-centric cards.

Can you guys recommend any decent 2 player games? me and my girlfriend play the odd game of LOTR (board game) but it is our only game, some more 2 players games would be great (co-op or competitive). Any suggestions?

I think I posted some a while back in the thread, but I'd recommend:

Forbidden Island
Forbidden Desert
Family Business
A Touch of Evil
Last Night on Earth (one control zombies, the other 3-4 survivors)
Summoner Wars
Elder Sign
Space Hulk: Death Angel
Castle Panic
Pandemic
Ghost Stories (though be prepared to rage, cry, and everything in between)

Cheers, took a look at forbidden island (as you both recommended it and I have seen it mentioned various times in this thread), from the blurb it sounds good will give it a go.

Been playing a game called Tsuro a lot recently. I believe it was an early game on Tabletop (although I think it had a different name) It was a gift from a friend and it's quickly become very popular in my household! Short games (15-20 mins usually) but it's quite replayable.

Also the latest Tabletop was excellent, I like the longer two part episodes :)

I've asked if we can have a separate sub forum under gaming for tabletop gaming. I think it's getting more and more popular and both this and the Warhammer thread are fairly active. If you think it's a good idea then maybe message your favourite Don so they can see the interest is there :)

Oops! My finger slipped on the order button! Curse you TableTop (Wheeeeeeeeaton!!! :p)

Ordered:

Zombicide
Star Fluxx
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Elder Sign

It's not like I had any plans for the money anyway. Besides I'm on holiday :p

Not much love for El Grande in here :(

I was introduced to it at the weekend at the in-laws and loved it. Great game!
Will try Puerto Rico next week so that should be interesting.
The problem is it's hurt me and the gf usually so I don't have much chance to play games like this as they normally blow with 2 players.

Played Puerto Rico after it being resigned to the shelf for quite a while. It's a good middle of the road game. Fun but not one of my favourites.

Puerto Rico is one of those marmite games. Personally I love it, though (like most of my games) it doesn't make it to the table as often as I would like. Have you tried San Juan, the card game reimplementation? It's probably best described as Race For The Galaxy light... Good fun and doesn't take half the time that PR does.
