Looking for a cooler for a 4670k.4770k

OCUK sell the Fathom which can be supplied with longer hoses.


Edit...easier/cheaper to get a newer case and H100 than spend that much on a Fathom?

Nah I won't be getting the H100, thanks for your help though.

EDIT: I measured again the distance from the board to the case, it is 185mm so it is more than enough :)

There aren't many air coolers that beat a H100i when it is used on the top as an intake. And yes, it stays quiet.

Reliabiltiy is very relative, if one out a 10.000 fails, it's still worse than 0 out of a million air coolers, but it is a very small chance.

Usually the temp difference between "quiet" and "full speed" is 4-5 degrees on AiO's, it's the same on air.. so I wouldn't say they are louder either.

I've reviewed H100 before and yes, they are very good but to get that performance, the fans needed to be at full speed which at 2600rpm is rather loud. In quiet mode, the fans were still louder than the NH-D14, K2, Silver Arrow etc but performance was nowhere near them. Factor in the cost and you can see why a top end air cooler would be my recommendation.
