try the auto-invite feature, I find that it will sometimes invite a big list of people BUT only 1 will join (if im lucky)

If you are trying to access GTA Online and Rockstar Cloud Servers are unavailable, please exit to GTAV Story Mode and try entering GTA Online again through the Pause menu in Story Mode. wonder if that's how I managed to corrupt my character. Don't recall there was a retry button so probably pressed it by accident.

It did happen when I got thrown out of a game, and lost progress as the servers were too busy. Managed to get in again, but got thrown out, and after that the character was fubar.
 
I cant believe how many people are complaining about this. Its an online game...how many online games work straight out of the packet these days. The single player game is worth the money in itself, the online is an added bonus.

I played for 6 hours straight last night and it was fine. I am not making any purchases because I am aware people are losing characters, cars and property. You can still have fun though. And banked money seems to be safe.

Would it be great if onilne worked as intended, sure it would. But as regular gamers everyone should be aware of these teething issues.

BF4 will be the next to have people "CANCELLING" their orders lol

You wish. Death tax drains your banked money which I didn't even know about. Every time you die you lose something close to 7.5%, which means essentially if you have over $50,000 each time you die you have to a mission of some sort to recover what you lost.

EDIT: This counts for if you die on a mission, and I'm sure it drains some money during a death match as well.

Quite annoying when you leave your character there whilst you make a tea and lose $30,000 cause of being killed thinking it was safe in your bank...

Rockstar want $100million in micro transactions...

the online is a complete joke, it wouldn't be so bad if the load times didn't take a year every time you get dropped or are forced to quit to the dashboard... I've never played something so long with so little of the time being spent actually doing anything fun..
 
Signed in tonight to find I'd lost 3 levels, 26 instead of 29 and my flying skill is no longer maxed. Not as bad as losing a character but still losing progress is not something that should happen in any game, teething troubles are not an excuse :(

Quite a lot work after at least a week. I havent seen any that delete players characters. Thats like Rule Number One, make sure the players data is secure. Why would anyone spend real money on this when they cant be sure they wont lose it.
 
This game sucks balls :( It's so difficult to get money, then when trolls kill you constantly as you spawn so close, you lose what little you have! Argh

Always bank cash after each mission (use phone)

Don't do 'quick jobs' use contact Gerald to get missions and also Simeon for easier repo jobs

made 230k my self today, it's not that hard. :p will be even easier once the stocks open up too

I bought the 400k apartment now the only other thing i want is the Stinger GT, other than guns and such that i can't buy/use due to my lv.

I've started again but used the 2nd character slot, should be fairly safe right ?. Also does anyone have any tips how I can level up quickly as my last charcter was lvl 12 and wouldn't mind getting there again.

I'm Gillant on the PS3 btw

Should be okay do violent duct as much as you can (can request it at lv 15 but can join it any level) so if you see it join it.

I dont seem to have an issue with making money. Not super amounts like some people but a steady flow. If you are concerned with dying switch on passive mode when you go make your tea, costs $100 but better than $30k ;)
