Quick reality check please.

How much do you have leftover from your average* monthly income, after all your bills have been paid to spend on what you want?

*Average means normal running of your account and not including stuff like car repairs / MOT / Car tax etc.

Will help my mind rest.
Thanks :)

After all costs except food i should have £450 a month. i live on my own so food costs shouldnt be as high as i sometimes make them, and i usually do 2 main shops a month for £60 each so in theory i should have £250-£300 month spare on average.

Currently though im running to the wire each month :( Bad i know

Just shy of a grand. Used to be more, damn rent and bills and everything else that I used to get for pretty much free :(

£1000 or so, I can live on basically nothing, don't see the need for a big fancy house or fancy car.

I genuinely don't know what most people do with their money, it seems everyone I know is always skint and I infact earn less than a lot of them yet always seem to have money. They must waste so much.

"Theoretically" £2-300.

Unfortunately it seems like almost every single month something "comes up" which pretty much wipes that out! :(

I don't ever seem to have a month without a monster bill to pay holiday, car/boat service, wife's studies, decorators, whatever. So none, but I have a nice lifestyle! At the moment it looks like next April might be a nice cheap month, I'll let you know then.
