GTA V Multiplayer thread (360, XBOX ONE, PS3 and PS4)

I think I've just been really lucky and haven't had a single issue with online at all, apart from a weird bug where if I accept an invite for a job or whatever whilst playing sp but the lobby is full when it sends me back to sp I can't switch character except to my mp one.
Nothing sinister but it can be annoying having to either switch then switch back or save and load every time I'm slow accepting invites
 
Just played the online for the first time last night (PS3), as it was my first time I have not been aware of the online issue from the start.

I actually had NO issues at ALL last night, either getting in to matchs or connecting to Friends.

I have never laughed as much in an online game in my life sooooooo much fun its down right scarey.

I did play with a few OCUK guys last night cant remember the names but I did kill one by accident, sorry about that, I was the tube with the skull mask and leather jacket.

Was just getting my bearings, will be playing this for a long time I have no doubt.
 
I did a really fun co-op mission last night and it paid out $25k upon completion. Was quite challenging though but we worked out a way of repeating the mission over and over again so kept earning 25k. It's called Base Invaders and it involves blowing up jets at the military base and then escaping in a cargobob.

The key is ordering a Merryweather chopper before you set off and killing the pilot, using it to fly to the base and land on the roof of one of the hangars, and sniping the jets from a distance. The Merryweather guards attempt to get to you so you need to defend the ladders to the roof. Once the jets are destroyed it's then a case of escaping the base in the cargobob and that can often be the most challenging part of it.
 
Had some hilarious moments last night with my crew (iDentity).

One of us had found a player with a bounty on his head so the manhunt had begun! We chased him down to his apartment which he wouldn't leave, so we just remained outside constantly ringing the doorbell as he complained over the mic :D It was even more comical because we had our ape masks on :)

We then gave up larking about and decided on playing GOLF, which lasted absolutely ages (45mins) but the main thing was that the game was rock solid and did not drop during all that time.

How are you lot getting your cars? I still have my starter mini but can't afford to splash out when all I have is 50k to my name at level 12. Is there a way of getting a good car without buying it?

I have to take my hat of this Rockstar ! The online mode is fantastic ! Server issues seem to be sorted now and as others have said its little things like being able to ring door bells on garages and houses lol ! Its so freaking when your inside and you know someone is outside waitting to blast you hahaha.


My fav is the Radio stations , get out a car and you can still hear it and when you walk in a shop its still the same song in the shop its crazy ! But feels so real. This online game is stupidly good and I love it. Its had its server issues but dam its fun . This is coming from someone who played wow for 3 years and I have enjoyed this game in the past week more than any game I have ever played in the last 10 years ! Its that good . I've spent 50k today on just modding my car :) Purchased a garage . this game has something for everyone and I've yet in a week been on its everyday and cant wait to get home from work to play.
 
Tried to play this morning; created my character then got into the first car race. Had to quit it, lag was so bad. Then the servers went down so I assume there was an update. Will try again this evening.
 
Think it is way too early to rule out server issues. We're facing a good week or two of them still during peak hours I reckon. They are getting there very slowly though. Last night it took about an hour or so just so I could connect to my crew because I kept getting session timeout messages. After 9pm however it was fine I found.

Little unfair to give Rockstar so much praise when many people still have issues or have had high level characters deleted.

I haven't had much problems either and it is really fun but Rockstar have still failed many.

I did lose a lvl 10 Rank :( But that's life , I started again and now have lvl 20 rank :)

Rockstar have advised that if you get a message that says Cloud server is down not to make a new char but to log back in to the offline mode. Don;t make a new char because if you do you will lose your char.

The game deserves to be praised because its so much fun online.

Sign up to Rockstar games online and you can get Free CAR from the web app in game :) Delivered to your garage .

You can buy a 2 car garage for 25k .... I advise to get this one asap as its puts you near the mod shop so great start location , plus the car you get is cool

Hmm I thought that free car was part of the SP game though and not MP? Tempted to buy that garage but with people losing progress and purchased assets ingame I am a bit nervous about doing so too.

Can't you just steal the car you want? My personal car is a BMW M3, so no idea why you didn't start with something semi decent.

I did steal a nice car but got a message that it was a 'hot car' and I couldn't keep it. Something along the lines of that anyway. I figured it was a system put in place to force players to actually utilise the ingame stores (from your phone) and spend your ingame earnings to buy the mid-high end vehicles.

Definately need something new though. The mini is not a good getaway vehicle :p
 
My coupe is bright orange and someone stole it, I need to track it again on the map and take it back.
