Majnu/Redmogg, it was me being a donut and vaping far too low at 2.1 ohms around 3.5v,hit it up to 4v and taste normal now.

It's one of Scope's in the works mixes so nothing dodgy there!
Cotton wise it's some cheap baby cotton stuff from Superdrog which was bleached but without chlorine xD
 
Oh my...re-coiled using 0.4 ribbon, 4 wraps, stuck multi-meter on it, did my sums, 2.0 Ohms. Not bad I thought...stuck onto my ego, no hot-spots, great! Onto my SID...this is where it went Pete-Tong AGAIN...reads a nice 1.3...Think my Multi-meter may be borked...anyway, got 1 hot-spot on the bottom wire where it comes from the screw, did as mentioned here, and tried to get it flush with the top deck wotsit. This is when it hurt me, hot juice flick from the device when the wire detached from the spring...right into my eye...TWICE! I am fine, a little high, but damn, I'm fine. Now, I get that hot-spot if I hold the 'trigger' for too long, but tested it on my vape time, it's fine. Sounds like a rattlesnake and smokes like a train...CHOO CHOO!! Brssssssssssss...

Aga T2 is very customisable, but needs some fiddling (adding a SS washer between the nuts works very well, just ask Allnamestaken/Craig!) Arashi also has a pyrex tank - I love mine!
AGI v2 is a Genesis/Dripper combo, gives you the option of both...

There are replacement tank sections in Pyrex/Mineral Glass/Quartz available for most Attys that come with only plastic tanks though...

I may take your Roller/Dingo off your hands (if you haven't already found a buyer) in a couple of weeks mate. My Private v2 hits so hard, but doesn't match the clean and flush lines of the Kayfun, AGA-T2 or Igo-W. Need a Genesis that looks like the Immortaliser but with brass/copper accents.

I should have some time to share some pictures of my new kit soon, but bonus points if anyone can guess what is in the picture:

Gahh spent a while tonight recoiling and wicking my kayfun lite, filled it up with scopes raspberry and its coming out tasting like rubbish..cant really describe the taste but its definitely not raspberry as i have a protank with some in and there is a huge difference in taste between the 2 tanks.

Im at 2.2ohms and voltage is at 4volts, even turning down the voltage doesnt seem to help. on the plus side im getting tons of vapour and it doesnt smell very nice. Dont know what to do as last time i unscrewed the tank i lost all my juice and ive wasted enough of it lol.

Any ideas as to why im getting such a crap taste, is it the juice??
 
Burnt wick/crud on the coil? If you're using cotton and dry burned at all, that will **** it up. Mustn't dry burn cotton ever. If you have a syringe and wide bore needle, try and draw the juice out of the fill hole so you don't waste it.
If you've vaped a fair amount and not thoroughly cleaned the Atty in between flavour changes or primed the wick with juice before rebuilding, these can all cause crap flavour.
I'd make sure the wick is wet, then slowly draw (without power) to prime it further, then start vaping at low volts to start (don't directly inhale into your lungs) - fill your mouth with vapour, you'll know if it still tastes bad without the Kick to the back of the throat. If no burnt taste, gradually up the power until you find the sweet spot .
If still no luck, time to break it all down for a thorough clean (use vodka/isopropyl alcohol or Milton Sterilising Tablets) and boiling water to flush everything. Air dry overnight. Chuck the existing wick and coils and start again.
Repeat the rebuilding, making sure you prime the dry wick with the ejuice you want in there, then test fire before filling - slowly up the power, all the time keeping the wick wet (like a dripper) and only when you're happy, fill the tank.

As great as the KFL is, when it farts about, it is a bugger for trouble shooting!

Coming from a disposable, looking to leapfrog straight to mods to save me money in the long run by cutting out the middle stage. So what info can you give me. Basic steps pls

Ignore, ive decided to buy me an evod kit and work my way up. Seems less hassle to start.

I was going to suggest taking the middle step anyway. It isn't that much money and I like having a basic set up for either when everything goes wrong or I go out to the pub (basically lost a few good things for a couple of days while drunk)

You can just unscrew the top cap and pour the juice back into a bottle. You'll lose a bit of juice in the process but not much.
 
For those that are using micro coil setups, how often are you changing the wicks? mine seem to go after a couple of days. No big deal since it takes no time at all to swap over.
