Finally got my mesh and wire thro today and took me 40 mins max to set up my RSST first ever time, I expected it to be hard but watching a couple of vids gave me some insight - got it running at 1.6 ohms and its excellent - need to open the air hole as anything over 4v gives hint of burn taste so I lowered it to 3.5v and draw moderately hard. The coils took only a few mins of tweaking to bed in and away we go....

Well i have had my kayfun for a day and absolutely love it, still getting to grips with it. Ive now realised that once you have filled up the tank, DO NOT unloosen anything as the tank works on a vacuum sort of principle..ive learnt that the hard way with about 5 mls of juice being wasted lol.

Was in the middle of re-wicking and re-coiling my set up again and i have to say im getting much better at coiling now. But i had to pop out, when i got back i had to rush into work so left it at home and currently using a protank and honestly, its rubbish.

Another one joins the Kayfun club, I wonder how many of us have one now? :p
Must be a few. :)

Interesting, i love my PT's, the ease of use is a big plus for me. Will see how i get on with the KFL. Looks like i wont get it until Friday as i left it a bit late for same day dispatch.

Just watched a quick piece on E cigs on the one show. Vote results later as to weather they should be banned in public places.

Just flicked through the video on the link and found nothing. Then realised it was yesterday's show and today's hasn't been uploaded yet! Gosh I'm a numpty! Thanks for letting us know :) Will watch it once it's uploaded.

See my edit. :)

Click 'Restart' on the right. @ about 19.03

Its nothing amazing, but looks like Graham Norton doesn't mind them... lol

Edit, just voted no.

Thanks. Missed out on the closing time for voting by 4 minutes!
BMA's stance is ridiculous as ever. No thought for lives saved from safety of e-cigarettes compared to analogues. Numpties.

Oh dont get me wrong, i like the protanks i have as they are easy to use ie just fill up and go and if th head is gone, just replace the head.

But for me the KFL gives me a challenge is trying to find the right setup for myself and the juices i use. Im enjoying it and if you get it right, the coil and wick it really is out of this world. Taste wise compared to the protanks, it blows them out of the water...well for me at least.

using 32 awg kanthal and doing about 4/5 wraps has given me 2.1 ohms on my cotton micro coil.
I boiled my non organic cotton and I'm getting a slight salty taste when I vape, is that normal?

OH ****! Re-coiled my RSST this evening and it's all gone a bit Pete-Tong...pulsed on my ego, so no hot-spots, filled with juice, plonked on my SID @ 4Volts, checked again, whole coil went red so damn fast and then set fire...oops...tried at 3.5, same, 3V and it tastes funky...switched to Watts, nothing is going well on it...give up for tonight, will attempt again when I get home later today...I'd like to point out, I used 0.2 Kanthol and it came in at 1.3 Ohms...

I found that mine had a burnt taste and having looked at the coil while it was cooking I noticed the bottom leg of the coil going to the connector was much hotter than the rest of the coil (glowed slightly). To remedy this problem I pushed the bottom leg flush with the base (deck) to soak up any extra heat, and it worked a charm - the burnt taste was just the bottom leg getting to the juice before the rest of the coil did its work.

I'm looking for a Genny that has pyrex rather than plastic - I'm getting into various juices and many of them don't like plastic.
I'd really like to know what pyrex Gennies people are using right now, it's such a fast moving market I could be missing something new and knowing what people are enjoying most is a great insight.

Regards
Scotty

Hi Scotty,

I have a g bell one which has a glass tank, the construction isn't too bad, check out Todd's review on youtube, I'm sure you can still get ahold of them still somewhere?

Wasn't impressed with he one show coverage today.... They focused on cheap ecigs

Indeed but the mods and stuff that the enthusiasts use arent readily available compared to the e lites e cigs you find all over the place. I can see why people would get annoyed if you was to smoke one inside a public place. But whereas me and my provari with the protank, i get a lot of people asking me whats that and when i tell them, they actually show a lot of interest in it.

Ditto... I spotted some dad walking with his family when I spotted a huge cloud of vapour. I waved my pro tank at him he nodded and we walked past each other. He has some modded setup

When I spot people with lesser ecigs I have a massive urge to tell them what to buy :-)

Haha same here, ill be honest i did buy an e cig starter kit about a yr ago...tried it and thought rubbish then upgraded to another e cig which uses a carto ie fill liquid into a clear cart and away you go. Not bad but still didnt hit the spot so to speak so in the end i invested a lot of money to buy myself a provari mini with a protank, some juices and away i went.

Much better and ive been off the stinkies for over a mth now, just recently made the venture into rebuildables now with my Kayfun lite that i got the other day.

But not everyone can afford an outlay of £100 or more so i can understand the whole cheap e cig fad.
