The Harrier like one at the airbase at the top left of the island. I was Trevor, but not sure I have the invincible mode yet???

Thats the choice mission though it comes up with that message regardless of whether A, B or C is picked.

You're not the only one who can't get it. I have got to the point of being quick enough to get the plane dwn the runway but either just as I am about to take off or just have taken off I get blown up. I can't work out how to avoid it though :(
 
get the fighter jet that's in the middle of the base, as soon as you're in it go full power and pull up. its takes off fast and doesn't need the runway so you only need to avoid the lamp post and watch for anti air rockets.

I am pretty sure it's luck (I've managed to get two after a few attempts xD, if there's a tank near the run way then you might be out of luck), but also be aware that once you take off you can get shot down via surface to air missiles so you need to avoid them too as they'll be following you :P

Go for one of the ones located near the runway facing the hangars. As soon as you're in, full power and pull back on the stick to take off then immediately bank towards Trevors airfield. If you hear the missiles lock on start moving up and down very quickly and they should miss. The missiles should stop as you get close to the strip, then you just wait until the police stop following you and huzzah. I found it easier to parachute into the base as well as you can land right next to the plane before anyone even notices.
 
I just went for the jet in the large hanger, sky dive in and pull parachute late, land right in the hanger doorway, sprint to plane get in and nail it turning right slightly on way out and pull up. Head west over the highway, then just lose the 3 stars. Done it twice both times first time no problem.
 
Just completed GTA5 and must say I was a little underwhelmed. Even though the map is bigger than San Andreas it felt smaller. I think that is due to the fact that most of the missions are in the City. In that respect it made me feel like the game was unfinished as some locations are hardly used at all. I liked the way San Andreas slowly took you around the different locations of the map as you progressed through the game.

The Sound track is not even 10% of what Vice City was. I also still think to this day that Vice Citys story is the best in the series so far.

The ending was also a little anti climatic. No where near as epic as the officer Tenpenny ending in San Andreas.

I have yet to play online so will hold my judgment till then.

I haven't completed it, but from what I've read I know what you mean about unused locations, and also the soundtrack is OK but not a spot on VC.
 
I think we had a discussion about unused locations a while back such as the prison for example and I think we just came to the conclusion that they'd be part of the dlc
 
Yeah I agree that the radio stations are the worst in the series, even GTA 3 radio stations were better.

The only stations I listen to are Mirror park and the pop station and sometimes the rock station.

But apart from the stations I think GTA 5 is the best gta game if not the best game ever.
I hope new tracks or stations can get added later as DLC.

You would like to think so, but the fact before it was released they said there will not be any DLC the size of TBoGT or TL&D, then I'm not so sure.
 
That's a good point actually, what a waste not having anything to do with the prison or the military bases. I'd understand if the prison was just a concrete block of a building, but it's a quite decent size
