They give us the same BS story every year tbh. And looking at it from Samsung view why the hell would they update the most successful android before before they need too, unlike Sony and co they really don't need to upgrade more then once a year for each top end line.

I can see them launching a month earlier than last year but not in January. It would be a great way to alienate their customers by having the flagship model out of date in eight months.

Samsung must be pretty busy checking all these forums and declaring official threads, maybe it's preventing them from having time to change their winning formula of bigger numbers = better phone.

It's balls, telcos don't certify phones over xmas because everyone's on holiday and there is a change freeze due to the sale volume (the deadline has passed for phones to be certified this year pretty much anyway).

Exactly this! I can't believe that people still use this point as a negative when plenty of much better homescreen replacements are available. I can understand if the integration of the manufacturer homescreen and launcher is deep down and affects the internal workings of Android but with modern TW that isn't the case and the stuff they've put in is actually very useful and non intrusive.

With other manufacturers I can also understand the dislike with customised interfaces (as in Sony handsets on many occasions where the experience is jittery).
