Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Managed to get a fly in the scout heli yesterday and man that thing handles well. Looking forward to getting my hands on it properly come game time.

Cant wait to see the other maps we're gonna have , that paracel storm interests me now we've played the beta and had a small look at the boats , could be good fun having some naval warfare.

I think the instant tank/apc respawn is a server side option as pretty sure it's not like this on all servers.

I've yet to order my copy, where is best to get an online code? Instead of waiting for the DVD copy which might not arrive for day 1.

Frequently mentioned on here, and I've never heard of anyone having an issues with them.

edit:

So, anyone else liking the new "retaliation" kill when someone tried to knife you from in front? I've offed more people with that than with my own knife attacks I think - it's certainly fairly similar numbers.

Really need a gun with a silencer,I only really knife players so I don't show up on the mini map.If I can I try my best not to knife players as I have found out most snipers sit there just spam the f key so they can get the retaliation in if anyone was to try to knife them.

So no I do not like the "retaliation ******** knife"

God no, the amount of time the other player gets to counter your knife is ridiculously long. Should be massively shorter and a random key press. It's basically suicide trying to knife someone from the front at the minute. If you're the one who gets that knife fight going first, you should have the upper hand.
 
I agree, if you stab someone first the second person ALWAYS gets the kill if the counter. There is no chance of coming back if they press that, the second person if smart would always allow themselves to be shanked first and always secure the counter.

Its kinda gay.
 
Another issue I'm coming across a heck of a lot is people seemingly looking away from me, or I'm coming side on from them. Then they shoot to what seems their front or 90 degress to me left or right.

But no, they're shooting me. So being able to sneak up on people who look like they're looking away from you but aren't gets annoying some times :(

I've had that a few times, very strange looking when it happens!
 
I've seen that a few times - what appears to be a sniper staring at the wall of a building shoots me out the side of his head.

I assume it's a display thing on my end rather than some form of exploit, as I don't see why the player would be staring at a blank wall.

No, limited edition version is the game + the first expansion pack (China Rising), which can be bought cheaper over here.

I was in your game, couldn't join the squad as it was full though, but yeah LongbowUK is my current ID.


Anyway, beta is over. I see one person in my friend list playing "DICE Commander Test Server #1" though. :(

well to round up the beta enjoyed it a lot. will definitely be playing it more than bf3.

cant wait for it to come out :cool:

few niggles i dont like which will probably be tweaked before release.


reversing knifes a bit stupid .
lock on rpgs.

This is EA, everything gets tweaked between beta and full release :D

Hopefully they get it right this time, I've particularly noticed better hitreg compared to 3 but we all know what happened between BF3 beta and release.
