finally managed to order a spheroid... vaperart website taking a bit of a hammering right now but they're still in stock if anyones interested

Anyone heard of or used XC-116 ceramic wick? Seems that in the US people are raving about how good it is for RBAs, even for rebuilding protanks. It's not cheap at $7/ft but apparently it lasts a very long time.

Just bought a vmax V3 and I'm trying to find a cone for it. Anyone know where I could get 1 from? It's like the 1's in this picture.

RAGH!!! This RSST is about to go in the field behind my house...Just won't wick nicely...

Might just sell them both for £40 and get a Kayfun Lite 2nd hand for about £50-£60...

New Genny!

GV Private v2 and AGA-TD with dual micro coils and cotton at 0.8 Ohms...

Not the best picture of coil & wick setup - the TD's drip well interferes somewhat with screwing the Kanthal down.

(Coils installed on detached top deck and screwed onto negative posts, then cotton fed up through the bottom, then tank and positive pin installed, coils wrapped around +ve nuts, cotton primed and resistance checked. Massive faff for a dual coil setup, but oh-so-worth it!)

Luckily I had my trusty Sig19B and IGO-W dripper to see me through the fiddling!

Looks nice, i do like the 19b.

Can you explain to me, What the vape like at .8ohms, does it hit harder or something? The lowest i really go is 1.4 at the mo with my kayfun.

Whats the appeal of low/sub ohm vaping?

Only asking as I've never tried it and curious as to the obvious appeal/popularity of it. :)

My verdict on the Fogger V2 is that it's crap, don't bother with it.

- Prone to flooding due to O-Ring which you need to remove every time to re-wick
- That translucent O-ring is so brittle as it needs to stretch a fair bit, even though they provide 5 extra in the spares bag they will soon run out.
- Filling it is a PITA
- Lip around post terminals makes it difficult to screw wick into place
- My terminal broke, the whole thing swivels when screwing, because the solder/weld to hold it into place wasn't strong enough
- Quality wise it is decent stainless steel and the pyrex tank is nice and thick, but like with all new atty's I sterilize them. This one had a load of crap which came out.

Since the terminal broke I can return it and get a refund, otherwise imo this is one to avoid.

Good to know - will cancel the one in my shopping basket...
I can recommend the Aga TD for a basic, but very customisable Genny :p

^ any links online to buy?

I ask as I am fed up with my vivi nova leaking.

cheers

I bought my TD from these guys - ordered on Saturday and arrived yesterday

If you've not had any experience of rebuildable atomisers, I'd say go for the RSST as your first one. It's a lot more forgiving than the AGA; insulated wick hole and closer +ve post means less likely to short or hot-spot and there's far more, easy to follow tutorials on setting it up than the relatively new AGA TD. I think the RSST looks sleeker (flat topped and opaque tank hides an untidy wick), the brushed steel fits better with brushed mods...

That being said, the AGAs (T2 & TD) come with Pyrex tanks (won't crack/craze with strong juices), have dual wick holes (Both can benefit from having the -ve silica post removed, unless you want that wick option), can look brilliant on the right mod and are already polished...

It's entirely your choice - my first Genesis-type atty was the AGA T2 - it was a real PITA to get working right, but I learned an awful lot about coiling, hot-spot solving, wick replacement and the true extent of the limits of my own patience! :p

Just be sure to do your research before buying/building - PBusardo, Scott Bonner (igetcha69), GrimmGreen and my favourite Todd; all have respectable review channels with step-by-step instructions for many types of vaping kit. (Scott's being the clearest!)

Happy Vaping! :D

Thanks for that RedMogg
I have been rebuilding my vivi novas for some time now so hopefully manage a proper rebuildable :-)

Forgot to ask.. I would rather not have to use a needle to fill the tank ala Vivi nova. Does the AGA need to be filled by needle or just standard bottle?

cheers!
