MILLIONAIRE Tory Cabinet minister refers to police as " plebs " - Police fabricate evidence

Police federation have come out fighting, and do not seem impressed with the IPCC at all!
What an absolute shower, and hardly inspiring to the general public.

The police federation should be dissolved if they continue to behave in this way.

I don't get why anyone should believe or trust what the politicians say. They've proven they lie about everything. So how is this any different?

qand the old bill are squeaky clean in everything they say right.........

they are both just as bad as each other. The Met have previous form for lying about all sorts of things and we all already know that politicians are scumbags. I don't understand why we are wasting taxpayers money on this garbage.

Just put the 2 of them in a boxing ring and let them duke it out under queensbury rules........

Warwickshire police commisioner flip flopping all over the place on sky news...
Nobody comes out of this well. I wish they would all stop point scoring off each other.

It gets even better now, despite the ipcc giving their verdict, the police forces involved have no plans to discipline the officers.

Absolute example of corruption that belongs in a banana republic..

I have said it before and I will say it again, ACAB.

There are some outstanding individual officers that I would pile in with if I saw they were in trouble, I went out for a spirited drive with one two weekends ago, hes my friend, but the Police force is beyond corrupt and anyone serving who doesn't see it needs to take a long hard look at themselves and their colleagues opinions.

The IPCC has been grossly unfit for purpose for years, the Police are corrupt and the Mark Duggan riots should be happening repeatedly until change occurs.

Wow.

My eyes are only really being opened to the amount of crap officers take on a daily basis and the fact that every officer I've ever known has always put the public or suspect first to respect their rights.
.

yup a lot of police officers are really good guys :D

I used to be a hell raiser in my teens and was known to a few of the local police.

one of them always used to come over if he spotted me, not to harass me but to say hello and ask how I was doing and if I were keeping out of trouble he was always really polite.

had some other CID guys arrest me a couple of times "this ones a good lad don't bother putting the cuffs on he won't try anything" lol

Once I realised I wasn't fast enough to escape I would just give in though knowing they were only doing their jobs.

I haven't been arrested since I was 18 and I am closing in on 33 now before the omg you scum bag brigade arrive

You're walking a thin line there. Inciting riot can carry a prison sentence.

Good god. Look, I'm not going off with him argumentatively, and I know that the stupidest of things end up in court, but honestly. If we can no longer make outlandish or extreme expression in politics what bloody hope is there.

I'd say here, in this debate, that he's neither walking the line or likely to create a riot.

I know this was done at a time where it was taken more seriously, but lets not forget this case: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-18536940

I admire your convictions and honest steadfastness. We've a few cops in our family. I thought about Police work as a career myself.

May I ask your opinions on the Hillsborough revelations? Which do rather seem juxtaposed to your assertions about the endemic nature of police corruption. Especially regarding witness statements and falsifying evidence.

It's an ongoing investigation so I'm limited as to how far I can go but I will say that any officers who falsified statements etc should be nailed to the wall.

Policing in the 80s was different to what it is today and I do believe that corruption then was worse than it is now. I don't deny it goes on and never have however I do maintain that the honest cops outweigh the corrupt ones.

I have been in a few clashes with the Police, most notably

I am white, can speak elegantly, and still have all my thick luscious hair, I have a feeling I will be OK. This kind of posting is beneath you Burnsy, you are one of the good ones.

Exactly, let us not forget the ridiculousness of the twitter bomb joke trial.

Don't think anyone was fired for that gross over sight of common sense either.

I hope this is true, the problem that causes ACAB is that the Police as an institution is corrupt and lacking accountability, not individual officers, to say nothing of the blue wall protecting good and bad alike.
